How fast does scabies rash spread on the skin?

I had scabies about 7 years ago, and it got pretty bad because people kept telling me it was probably heat rash, etc. Because of this, I am always pretty paranoid about any bump that shows up on my body. I'm pretty convinced that sometimes my immune system has flashbacks and gives me a few bumps on my hands that go away after a couple days.

But here's the question. 3 days ago I noticed 3 bumps on my ankle, the next day 2 on my arm, then a couple on the other arm, and I've found one bump on my chest. I'm experiencing some tingling and itching, but I can't figure out if it's all in my head. If I had scabies, would I have a much bigger rash after 3 days of the first sign?(The previous time was so bad that I can only remember the full-blown rash.) Also, with so few bumps, would a doctor be able to detect it?

I don't want to put my life on hold and alert my housemates if I'm just being paranoid, but I also don't want to put anyone at risk.

Can anyone remember what it's like in the beginning?

The answer is there is no way of knowing for sure. Your best bet is to retreat yourself and your environment again. I also keep getting itchy bumps some in groups of two or three that seem to come and go. If they subside they are your bodies' immune response. If they get worse more than likely you are reinfested. I honesty don't know if you ever get totally rid of them. Our bodies don't seem to want to let it go. And something else you won't hear or read about. If you have a strong immune system, your body will attack these burrows and build up a spongy eczema wall, which in itself is itchy and rashy. This prevents the body from removing the mite remnants so therefore you have a 'catch 22' situation that just goes on and on. Good luck.

I have posted a strict regimine that worked for me.

I am now cured

I knew I had scabies because I layed on a throw rug that mice used for cover, i layed on it for hours under a 4x4 pick up truck, and the ifestation was immediate and obvious.
