I have suffered from scabies for many years, severely for the last two. I have used it all: sulfur, Eurax, Permethrin cream 5%, 10%, 50%, Lindane, Benzyl Benzoate, essential oils (tea tree, neem, clove, rosmary, manuka, etc), Dermisil products, enzymes, oral Ivermectin up to extremely high doses (144mg instead of 12mg) sustained and megadoses, Advantix II four times a day, Tetmosol soap (Monosulfiram), chinese herbs. Most of these remedies helped control the mites but did not eradicate them, and eventually would stop working altogether. I also did the usual hot wash and dry every day, mattress covers, etc.
Then I got a 250ml bottle of Ivermectin Pour-On for cattle (5mg Ivermectin/ml). I covered my whole body with it for 3 days, without any side effects. Within 3 days, all the bumps which I had all over my body, started disappearing AND HAVE NOT RETURNED. It has been over two weeks now. My skin has not looked this good in years!!!
Please, if you are suffering with little or no help, try this: Durvert Ivermectin Pour-on for cattle 250ml. It's available at feed stores or online at amazon.com for about $20-$30.
It is probably not necessary to use the whole bottle. But, as I've said, there were no side effects. Just don't get it into your eyes.

Did you apply it each day for 3 days or did you apply it once and left it on for 3 days. Did you dilute it at all.

hi no scabies: How are you doing now? Still improving? Did you get any side effects from the pour on ivermectin for cattle? I ordered some even though I'm afraid to use things meant for animals. Was also thinking of maybe using Advantix, but you say that didn't help you? Thx!

No, it is called Pour-on. A bright blue liquid. I think it is an alcohol base with DMSO.

I applied it at least once a day, really thickly, for three days.

Happy Soul, how did you use it. I used it undiluted in conjunction with other eo's. Then I was warned that it is a neurotoxin and can cause irreversible damage.

scabophobia, After almost three weeks some of the bumps started reappearing. So now I'm doing the same treatment again, for three days. It seems to be working.
I have had no side effects. I have tried the Advantix, but it didn't do much for me.

You were warned it is a neurotoxin? You mean to humans? But you're still going to keep using it?

Wait, I'm sorry, I'm just confused. You mean you were warned the Pour On was a neurotoxin and you stopped using it after that? If so, what are you going to try now?

Oh, now I see - I read your post again. You meant you were warned that clove oil was a neurotoxin, right?

Here's what I ordered from Amazon:

Ivermectin Pour On, 250ML
Sold by: EPA Logistics Inc DBA Obzo.com
Condition: new
Quantity: 1
$15.55 each
Item subtotal:$15.55

Is that what you used? Also, did you put it on and leave it on for 3 days, or shower each day and put it back on again after a shower?

Thanks much for your help!

Clove oil should be used with caution and diluted but being natural, I dont believe little use will cause damage.

Try a 20% Clove to 80% grapeseed and work your way up to 40% Clove and 60% grapeseed.

After getting scabies, on the 3rd day I started Clove oil from a low concentration and up for a total of 2-3 days. On the last days the concentration was higher and I left it on for 15 minutes as it burned.
Basically i was Scabies free after... there are the different feelings you will get but it wont be actual bites or the light crawling.

Some days after you'll start getting bumps but its your skin clearing it out.

The stuff is in an alcohol base that feels really good. I put it on 3-4 times a day and didn't shower. It still takes a few days to see the effect.
It does not kill the eggs, so follow-up treatments within a week are necessary.

HappySoul: Thanks for the info. It is possible you had good results with the clove oil if you only had the scabies for a short time, unlike some of us.

What stuff are you referring to when you say it is "an alcohol base that feels really good and you put it on 3-4 times a day?"

Thanks!

I used 1 cup of bleach in a full bath on day 1, tea tree oil mixed in lotion (20%) on day 2, back to bleach bath on day three, and back to tea tree oil on day four. Washed NOTHING!. Worked great for my body but they moved to my scalp. Now do the same thing but adding rubbing alcohol to the top of my head. I will wait 4 days then repeat and update u all. No itching on my body anymore though.

If your not feeling the burning sensation then its not the right concentration of clove oil.

About 5 and half months. Short period of time compared to some.

I think killing this things is more of a time issue. Doctor says use only 24 hours but that doesn't work. If one pregnant female is missed anywhere, or still screwed. I think repeated treatments r needed.

Just wondering if anyone knows -- this pour on ivermectin is 5 mg/mL (just received it in mail). Would you advise mixing it with something like grapeseed oil 50/50 or using it full strength like no scabies did?

Thx!
