I just recently got scabies. I do not know where i got them. They started out normal. I went to Dr. and he gave me permetherin cream, but didn't do much. I read on this forum about bleach baths. I have been trying that and I don't itch as much but it messes up my skin. But some of the burrows have turned into crusted scabies. And as bad as it hurts and gross as it is, I try to dig as many mites out as I can then put tape on the sores so the mites can't go back there. This helps them heal better. But I am lost on how to get rid of these monsters and thought I would just live with it until I noticed the amount of mites per sore and read that people with crusted scabies take twice as long to get rid of them. I'm the only one in my house with this and can't go on much longer. They are mainly on face and legs. I don't even wanna leave home anymore, I'm so ashamed and embarresed. Has anyone had these and how did you get rid of them, nothing is working for me and I just wanna crawl in a whole. Husband thinks I'm crazy and other family acts like I have the plague (in some ways I guess I do). Someone out there has to know something. Help me please.....

Did you show the docs that you have crusted scabies? They should give you stromecol (not sure if I spelled that correct) and also help you more then the reg scabie victims. I wish you a speedy recovery. You should also get some garlic pills, take a multi vitmanin, this will help your immune system fight these bastards! God Speed!

You need to use two tubes of perm cream, one for scalp and face and another for body. Repeat until gone. Treat your environment with Borax on floors, furniture, in washing etc. Try a bug spray with perm to treat Borax-cleaned areas of your home. Completely seal mattresses and textile furniture or as I did, dump them (do not give away). Never think that you can live with crusted scabies- they would multiply into the millions. If you have insurance get to a hospital to help you.

Also, sorry to hear that your hub thinks you're crazy. What a mean attitude. Maybe you should use the bug-spray on him too :P

I saw that too and tried it many times as well as other essential oils but although it helped a little superficially it did not get rid of the mites. They are burrowed way too deep in the skin and the egg, larvae and instar (nymph) phases of their life cycle are not affected by the clove oil. Clove oil directly on the adults kills them, but not the other 3 phases. I personally tried dozens of things for a year. I finally found the answer. See my other posts and here in this photo are the meds you need from Mexico if your doctor will not prescribe them or the quantities you need: http://s1297.beta.photobucket.com/user/scabim...

God bless

Trying to separate you from your money. Don't fall for it.
No money is connected with my advise. It is purely to help and noble. How would I be able to gain any money from my posts or advise?

Quit inventing things and first of all, BELIEVE you can still be healed too. As a matter of fact. if you are open to it, when I go to Mexico next month on vacation I will personally buy you the meds that worked for me and send them to you FREE when I get back if you will promise to do them correctly and all the other sterilization and environmental procedures (that are a must too). I obviously cannot do this for everyone, but your case is SO UNIQUE and you have been tormented for so many years I would be willing to try that to help you. Who knows if it would work?; Maybe you have such a high resistance to perm and Ivec at this point it would be one of those rare cases that doesn't, but it might.

What makes you believe the ivermectin and permethrin from Mexico is better than those manufactured in the U.S.? I'll bet when you examine the package it will say Made in U.S.A..
But neither of these cure in the U.S., perhaps because the variety of human skin mites come from generation after generation of treated iver perm hosts?
People here have bombarded their bodies with iver and perm and they are not cured. One fellow poured unleaded gasoline in his bath tub and said he soaked in it and almost died from the fumes and even that didn't cure him! People here are desperate for a cure. But we have experienced the spammers, mentally ill con men and women so beyond the rudeness you can't blame many of us for being suspicious about a newcomer who claims the we should be cured after months or even years of iver perm use.
Sorry for your terrible situation Cindilu. I really do feel for you. As far as your statement that in the USA they (the Meds) don't work, see my last post(reply) to explain that you are generalizing (which is understandable)and from the standpoint of a niche Forum which by its very nature attracts more of the difficult cases and resistant strains than the general population and vast (statistically) number of overall cases worldwide (and in the USA. Can you see that? As far as the Scabisan from Mexico let me say this. It is a Mexican made product as is the Ivexterm and it may or may not be superior to those available by prescription here. One thing I know is that the first time I tried to use permethrin cream (about 8 months into my own horrible ordeal) I got some from Amazon on the internet which was from the UK. It was VERY expensive an a little bitty tube that could not even really cover my body. It had little if any effect and I was highly disappointed even though I ordered two more and got the same results - NADA!(*It was even a well know pharamecutical brand on the tube but I suspect it was a counterfeit). Needless to say, I'm thinking "this permethrin crap doesn't work"

But, I was not about to give up ( you CAN'T or your life will be ruined!)and when I finally decided to bite the bullet and buy a round trip to Puerto Vallarta and try BOTH Ivexterm and another Permethrin brand - Scabisan and used them there in Mexico at a cheap hotel (It was so shotgun that the bed mattress must have been 20 years old and that scarred me to, but hell I already had the damn mites so it couldn't get any worse, I thought.) Well what happened? BAM - the next morning, the white sheet were COVERED with black specks and I felt my skin kind of drying up. I knew this has some effect, but wasn't sure this would kill them all.(*I had only seen a few of these dark specks one other time and on my leg when I tried clove oil before and 7 or 8 came out, probably the larval stage). Bottom line is that this worked. I flew back to the U.S. and followed up a week later with both Scabisan and Ivexterm (although I now know it is better to do the Ivermectin 14 days later - not 7) In any case it simply worked (and I had BAD CASE of these mites and foyght them for a whole year with everything I could find or heard about EXCEPT this. Thank God it worked for ME! As far as "con men", jokers and creeps on the forum, I'm sorry you all have gone through that, The thing is.. a con man would need to have something to gain from it in my mind. What could I gain? I'm a 60 year old guy who doesn't fancy playing pranks like a kid. I think you know from just the things I have said, I KNOW THIS NIGHTMARE MYSELF. I am just trying to help, that's all. I hope you are able to rid these bastards after so long. One last thing; the pharmacist in Mexico told me that another thing works for most people very well too (but it can burn some) and they had it - its called BENZOATO DE BENCILO I think it's Benzyl Benzoate in English.. He said it works every time but who knows? Maybe it will work for you if nothing else will. God Bless

I went to dr. again Wednsday. He also thinks i'm crazy, said i had a skin infection and prescribed doxicycline. He said the 2 rounds of perm should have cured it if i had scabies. And yes, i do know i have scabies. I have all the symptoms( nightly itch, black specks and burrows, sores beyond belief). I feel like i'm going crazy as my body is ravaged by these monsters. I only go placas when it is absolutely neccessary. I have about 7 sores on my vace that i "try" to hide with makeup. I am still waiting on clove oil in mail, but have heard lots of success stories with it. Still the only one in house with this crap. No one else in here has broken out yet, though i have seen some bumps on others, they say they don't have it. Will post more soon...

Yes, i showed docter. Claimed he didn't see the mites. I think he's mad because i'm self diagnosing so he's not gonna agree that i have scabies, also thinks i'm "crazy".

go tell him you'll report him for refusal to treat. He HAS to do the scrape test, its the law in the US to prevent spreading disease. yeah, we've all heard we're crazy- by lazy doctors. you can report him to the CDC too.

another idea- sack your doc and move on. many docs today should NOT be registered if they don't know how to treat mites.

My husband and i caught scabies from somewhere not sure cant pinpoint how we got them but i want to share this with everyone and ask if anyone has had this happen to them the doctor didnt believe us and asked us if we were drinking or using drugs after we told her. We had been fighting these things and couldnt get rid of them so we decided to by a bunch of stuff that i heard may work and it sure got there attention, it was recipe of essential oils andalso vitamins to help fight them off, i found this on line, didnt have them like he did but we did not know how bad they were until he soaked in these oil and took the vitamins, after soaking for about 2 hours in the tub i looked down at his feet and saw what looked like skinny white worms hanging out of almost every pour in his feet not long after that they started coming out of his ankles and legs and he started to push on the and they poured of of his legs in gobs, there were so many he clogged the drain with them and what wouldnt go down crawled out of th\e tub and all over bathroom floor and he pushed on these for hours and they just kept coming out until it started to hurt him so bad he couldnt take it anymore, he literally had holes in his legs when he was done. I know we didnt imagine it because i did have one of the same thing pop out of my face below my bottom lip after i soaked in the oils. Can someone please tell me if this has ever happened to them. We are really freaked out by it, we are getting better now but i still almost dont believe what i saw and it scared the hell out of us.
