I was so happy to find these posts. I have been dealing with this for 3 months now and been to two doctors with no help - the diagnosis - dermatitis. I told them my skin feels like its crawling and there are red bumps that come up and then my skin gets weird lines from the bump. It started with a few red marks on my nose and then my nose seemed to swell and I had a bunch of blackheads. I had some bactrim which I started taking and ordered some Dermisil online (sulfur lotion). The crawling sensation has improved but I still have it. I have ordered the permethin 5%. Doctors think they know everything and are so arrogant. They think that you could not know as much as them. Each time I went to the doctor and told them I thought I had scabies I was dismissed after a very brief exam. I am so tired and stressed from having this.

Every single symptom fits mine to a tee. Its eerie. Eyebrows, eyelashes, and base of scalp itch with smaller bumps than Jay's, but do have them along base of scalp and behind ears. I just popped up with a severe and itchy rash along inside crevice of the buttocks, and pubic follicular lesions that look precisely like Jays pictures. I was prescribed some cream and some cephalexin with a diagnosis of empitigo by my doctor by visual exam. It is doing nothing. And he knows I came into direct contact with scabies two months ago. You can see a damn tunnel near my anus. Clear as day. But since its not on my hands or feet, he insists its not scabies. My poor baby is breaking out in a rash too on her upper back and eyelids. Oh Jay, how I wish you had written what finally worked...

After a surgery at hospital I started getting boils. I went INFECTIOUS DISEASE CONTROL DOCTOR who did culture and latet advised me I had a strain MRSA. I was prescribed ZYVOX which killed all bacteria. I suffered with vaginal dryness and no bacteria to fight off germs etc. Since I will get a small pimple that never comes to a boil. I was given a ointment called BACTRABAND to be applied when I get pimples boils etc. The dr also advised me to use antibacterial sosp when
bathing. Recently I tested negative for MRSA so I guess thats why the little pimples I use to get stop coming. The doctor recommends taking PROBIOTICS to help replenish bacteria lost with ZYVOX. GOOD LUCK

I AM ACTIVELY SEARCHING to make or learn fro someone lucky enough to have won a battle against the demodex, a cure not perhaps to eradicate them but to stop the crawling, scratching, tickling, keeping me awake and ruining the days. I knew I had these as far back as 20 years ago but they didn't bother me then, although if I had been attentive I would have noted how thin my hair was becoming as well as my lashes. So now past 80, they have done their ravage. But I still a lot to live for , I want peace and my skin back. If anyone knows what could quiet them down even for a day, please tell me. I will make a bunch of different creams and use them on me. What the doctor and the pharmacist have offer did not work. Thank you for reading and hopefully participating. I will keep you posted of any success no matter hw small.

Hi Jay,
Reading through your posts. For the past 6 months, I have been having the exact same symptoms as you minus the pus. However the only time I actually itched and felt creepy crawly was when the mites made it inside my ears, which was intense.
My lesion came back as hives, a common sign of a mite infestation. No infection though. My derm poo-poo'd the demodex theory. But she had NO OTHER explanation, as I am not itching enough to have scabies, and said she'd never seen such a rash.
That said, I am now taking prophylactic Bactrim and my rash is healing. Hmmmm.... This leads me to believe I had mites and they are being killed by the bactrim. This morning I read that some docs are treating mites with bactrim as it will kill the mite's gut bacteria and thus kill the mite. Making it a double edged sword for this condition.
I have not done bleach or ivermecton. I would have if I weren't on the mend. Right now I am taking Bactrim, using clobetasol ointment, and bathing with sea buckthorn soap. Below is a list of everything I have done over the last 6 mos:
1 - Bordeaux's Butt Paste: inexpensive and great for healing open wounds or using on kids, contains boric acid
2 - Sea buckthorn Oil: pills, soap, lotion, and body oil KILL'S MITES
3 - Head and Shoulders: I bathed in it and it helped heal my skin and does kill mites
4 - Sulfur: as 10% soap and the cream worked well
5 - Coloidal Silver: Bathed in it but found it pretty harsh on my skin
6 - Diatomaseous Earth: Rubbed the powder all over for several weeks which seemed to kill the lion's share of bugs
Wondering how you are now?
Hi Melanie,

ow are you doing today?

i am going to buy some stromectol pills put i am looking for a reputable place since reading about the cheap generic version doesn't really work. i already have scripts for bactrim ds and bactroban so once i finish with this protocol i will try the THE PFIZER BLEACH BATH PROTOCOL the apply the bactroban and take the bactrim to kill off any bacteria left from these mites
Im wondering if any one has the pricking burning sensation on the head and pimples growing out of their skin because of this problem?
Have you considered retreating with permethrin 5%? I have gone thru exactly what u did. I had to treat myself once a week all over my body four weeks in a row to eliminate the scabies. Be very careful and cover your scalp hands feet and back really well. I was reinfecting myself in my home and in my clothes. Stay calm and and don't touch or rub your face or scratch

I have and can try to help you; I was misdiagnosed and had a mite infestation for 25 years. It started when I was 5 and I finally resolved it last year. I went after them aggressively. I treated myself one time per week, head to toe in permethrin 5 for three months. After 4 treatments my hair started to grow back. I had to treat the inside of my nose and my ears and eyelashes and scalp very carefully. My nose was the most infested and my hands were very bad. Do not over treat yourself. Make your own lotion and measure carefully. Farm and fleet sell 10 percent; the mix is not 1 to 1 since lotions mass/volume is different to liquid. 4-1/2 ounces Jergens or baby lotion and 1-1/2 ounces 10 percent permethrin. Exception: Make sure to coat your feet and hands daily after you was them. Cut your nails as short as possible and use a small thimble of the farm and fleet permethrin in your clothes wash. Stay calm and apply this every week. Warning the itching crawling biting sensation will fade but depending on how bad you have it, it may last a while. God speed u to recovery .

Try dry mustard powder with water and a few drops to make a bit of paste. This will burn unless you further dilute it with body wash, lotion etc. This will kill drmodex, bit then you will be stuck with dead mites that are tiny sores. It will heal, but remember a little bit is better.
