Well, Oprah says when you're at a Y in the road......you need to take some time and figure out what you know FOR SURE about your situation, so I did. It's helped me, maybe it might help some of you, too.

I know for sure that I had scabies. I know it came from the tanning bed. I know I saw two mites under the microscope, for sure. I saw alot of maybe's, but two for sure....antenna's and the whole deal. I saw TONS of eggs under the scope. I know my husband got a touch of it and I know my youngest had places on her as well....many times. I know the iver knocked it out on my husband and at least kept it from going crazy on my little one. I know for sure that I have Arachnaphobia. I had several really bad experiences with spiders at a kid and my daughter was bit by a brown recluse when she was 3. I came close to losing it when she got bit. Anyway, you all know I don't do crawlies...of any kind.

I've looked back over my picture journal and the last ones I saw that had definite zig, zag track marks were taken in late May, early June. I know for sure that is when I started the extreme meds and combining them. I know for sure my environment was cleaned to the point of ridiculous....everyday, many times a day. I know for sure that nerves cause my Mother to break out in a rash that has had her at the ER a few times. I know for sure that I put enough toxic things on my skin to keep it in trauma til I'm probably 80. I know for sure that heat causes rashes. I know for sure that I was HOT, HOT, HOT the last day of my vacation when I exploded in bumps. I know I was a bundle of nerves the entire trip.

I know for sure that my P.A., derm whatever you want to call him is full of shit. I know I'm not schitzo and I know I'm not taking anymore anti-psycotics.

I know for sure that June 26th was when all of the cleaning in my house stopped. My last round of iver was the 24th. I know I've been washing everything in cold water and not using borax very often. I know I've washed my clothes in with everyone else's. I know I stopped washing the sheets everyday a while back, now. I know I took the plastic off everything, including my keyboard and my pillows.(I kept it on the mattress) I stopped wiping everything down and spraying alcohol on everything. I know the spots I've thought were scabies have all gone away. The thing I thought were track marks stopped moving on me when I was on the anti-psycotic. I know that all of the things I know for sure are scabies on my daughter are all gone by the next day. I know I've tested many places on me, and my daughter anyway, but haven't seen any eggs in a long time.

While I was on the Orap, I never stopped picking all together, but I did stop obsessing and my skin looks much better. I know for sure I can't take it anymore because it just made me confused and sleepy and irritable and just icky.

I know for sure that my husband is capable of getting scabies because he got it briefly in April. I know all of my hubby and kids took weekly iver for months. I know hubby started sleeping back in our bed on June 26th and we've been intimate ever since. I know for sure he doesn't have anything on him and that if I had scabies he would have by now. I know I've hugged my kids, sat on the couches, walked barefoot in the house, you name it. I know for sure none of my kids have scabies and they would have by now, if I still had it.

I know for sure that I don't have scabies anymore. I stopped taking the orap over a week ago and have started getting the crawlies like crazy and some bumps here and there, but they go away. I know I don't get bumps where I have the crawlies.

I know for sure that I need help and that I can't do this by myself. I know I've ruined the majority of the summer for my family. The worse thing is, I know my youngest sat through me picking on her skin and I can't believe I did that. It hurts my heart so much, but I can't change the past. All I can do is not make her endure that ever again.

I ordered some Atarax online because as I've said, I'm NOT going back to that derm that thinks I need schitzo meds. I'm hoping it will take away some of the side effects while I ride out post scabies or my crawlie phobia...whatever this still is.

I know it's gone, but part of me just doesn't want to believe it. I know I probably would have never posted this, but we are here to help each other and the thought of Mary putting meds on a baby every single night scares the shit out of me. I don't want her to feel like I do if at some point she realizes she was cured some time ago and just didn't know it. I'm not saying any of you have a phobia and don't have scabies. I just want some of you to take a look back and start taking pictures and make a list of what you know for sure. Stopping the meds occasionally just to see if you're cured might not be a bad idea.

I know the feeling that they are still on me is SO REAL, that I picked at my 11 year old daughter until she bled too many nights to admit too.

I just beg all of you, before you put anything on your kids or grandkids......just please, know for sure.

Those were some good posts, 2Scratch. You mentioned Mary putting meds on her granddaughter. That would be Crazy Mite Lady, not Mary. Congratulations on your progress, 2Scratch!!

Sorry!!! My apologies.

I hope you're doing good!

Thank you. When I told all of that to the Hubby, he cried, said I was brave and was so relieved and thankful that I took a look back at the pictures.

You are very smart, 2Scratch. You used all the resources available to you. Give me the derm's phone number, so I can call and cuss his office out.

Do NOT tempt me. lol

I suppose he was right about what was eventually wrong, but the way he went about it was wrong. He should have done some scrapings or something to help me be more at ease. And people can get through this without anti-psycotic's....I would think that would be a last resort.

2Scratch. I have a question. You are using Aquaphor. Is that a healing lotion? Why are you using it? And who recommend that you use that? Do you put it all over your body? I put some baby oil all over me today and I felt less crawlies than usual. I took some scrapings today and look under the microscope. I saw a bunch of stuff, but I can't find mites. What type of microscope do you have? Was it expensive? Does it have high magnification? I got mine on Ebay and it was about $200, a little cheap one, but it works pretty good.

There's where I got the Aquaphor suggestion from. I LOVE THAT STUFF! I used it initially over the sulfur to seal it in and suffocate....and to moisturize. It's fifteen bucks for a sixteen ounce jar. Then I realized that it really does pull things out of your hands and feet. I got eggs, debris, glass, glitter, splinters...you name it. lol The turpentine pulls stuff out as well.

I went on Ebay and got one for fifteen bucks. Someone on here suggested getting the junior chemist one cause it works just as well. And it does. I'm done with it, forever. Whether I get scabies back or not, I'll never use it for that again. If you want it, email me and I'll ship it to you. It has 100, 300 & 600 magnification on it. It also has the big screen to use as well if you don't want to look through the eyepiece.

Thanks 2Scratch. I'm reading those links now, thanks. Maybe someone else on here can use your microscope. Mine is pretty good. Maybe Sam would like it.

I just wish I was filthy rich... I would fly all of you to Pennsylvania and send you to my doctor -- an ALLERGIST who listened, diagnosed, and cured me... all without calling me crazy or suggesting brain medication.

Of course, I could use the brain medication, but that is for a post in another forum.

Anyone who has trouble with doctors and is within driving distance of south western PA/eastern Ohio/Northern WV should let me know and I will provide the doctor contact info. He was amazing.

I'm concerned. My ex boyfriend was diagnosed by a doctor saying that he had scabies just by looking at him. He didn't do a scraping or anything. He prescribed the medication to him, but I think he should get a second opinion. We have a 3 year old little girl that goes back and forth between houses. She sleeps in the bed with him while she's at his house, and I'm concerned that she may have gotten it too. There aren't any signs on her, but I took her to the pediatrician and says that he doubts it's scabies. He recommended that I not treat her until it gets worse. What would you guys do?

If a child is involved I would go with the docs advice. But letting your boyfriend sleep in the same bed is not good.. Until he is cured for is clear I would not allow that to happen. Just me thats what I would do.

I would not let her go back to his home until you are sure he doesn't have scabies anymore. She cannot sleep with him in his bed. And the mites can be anywhere in his home, the couch, the carpets, the kitchen, the bathroom. Keep a close look at her. It is worse at night time. Don't waste any time getting treatment for her and make sure he is following up, too. And you, yourself, should be treated, too

Sulfur is for infants and pregnant women,
http://www.emedicine.com/emerg/topic517.htm

Sulfur in petrolatum (2 -10%, with 6% preferred)-- One of few effective scabicidal treatments that may be used safely without fear of toxicity in very small children and in pregnant women. Sulfur is messy, malodorous, and stains clothes, and requires repeat applications, thus reducing compliance. It can cause a dermatitis in hot and humid climates

(..... I think dermatitis is when you have had enough, then you just relax, and soak in the tub to rehydrate your skin....ahh

Good mite info:

Sulfur info

Many people never get this bug, it dosent bother them.

God bless you , Bill

His Mercy endures forever.....
