Before you take ANY medication, get one even two opinions, as sometimes you may be prescribed something you don't need, that may do more harm than good - as you may not have the bug / scabies / fungus etc you think you do (too much Internet reading is dangerous, and sometimes even your GP won;t know exactly what is going on), so firstly be sure to get a valid opinion.

Second, read up on what you are putting on you - I kept getting a rash all over my body at night, my GP said it was nothing, it itched like hell, didn't get sleep for 5 nights, which lead to yeast infection, poor immunology and hallucinations from fermenting yeast in me....

What I did find after using Permetherin cream is that my nose is still numb / minimal sensation, even a week after using the cream, I am hoping the sensation returns, I think it will take time, but the cream is an insecticide - if it kills bugs, what does it do to you I read it may even be related to cancer, although unsure). Furthermore, the pin pricks may or may not be from bug bites - as I read that the cream changes the sodium response in your nerve endings in the skin, or something like that, so I am finding I get random tickles and pings that you may think are bugs when in fact they are your nerves reaction to having the cream slapped on, which may have altered the nerve receptors, but I am no bio-chemist - just a theory....

So get a professional opinion; read about what you are taking.....

I know its not easy, because I was sleep deprived, my GP cast me as mentally depressed, rather than saying, oh you can;t sleep because of the itch / what can we do about that...

I did read that dust mites love moist bodies, and yeast - if you are sick, you may be producing more yeast, which they are attracted to - tip - if you think you are being bitten but dust mites, vacuum the mattress / carpet and then put talcum powder on you before bed, see if that helps, I did, it did for me.

If you think you have birds nest mites on you, try diluting Hydrogen Peroxide and apply to the skin with cotton (follow instructions on the bottle)- this product oxidzes mites (I have no clue about any other species, so get professional advice), to see if anything comes to the surface - this is how I discovered I don;t think it is the bugs biting, but the cream that messed me up, although it has a purpose.

Hope everyone finds relief.

All you ppl do realize you're not crazy. There are microscopic bugs mites out there. They are real and actually you can rub Vicks or generic on areas where your feeling them, wait a few minutes and drive them out. They stay in your skin longer than what you may think, maybe weeks. Been there.
Keep the fight.

Hi. Many people I know use environmental probiotics to purify the indoor environment and reduce the triggers that flare these symptoms. BetterAir ( www.betterairus.com ) has systems that repetitively release probiotics. It does not use any chemicals and is all natural.
