I'm not familiar with their being any effects on the teeth and gums from RA, but if you haven't found them yet, here are a few good RA websites where you might try looking:

http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/rheumatoid...
http://www.medicinenet.com/rheumatoid_arthrit...
http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/rheumatoid-a...
http://www.arthritis.org/conditions/DiseaseCe...

Hope that helps

Yes it can as it causes systemic inflammation in the body, I had RA for 17 years before abandoning the mainstream drugs and trying a strick Gluten free diet with daily green vegetable juicing. No dairy, refined sugars, caffeine etc. In addition I use Neprinol enzymes, Samento and mangosteen as well as a whole food vitamin/mineral supplement. I am 100% healed of the so called incurable disease.

I have been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and am so afraid of the medicine side effects, but I have to get back to work. Where did you go for information on diet changes and where did you go for supplies?

Please try mangosteen juice; is listed with 138 separate benefits such as:
- Anti-oxidants - neutralize free-radicals to stop the damage of the cell
- Anti-inflammatory – prevents inflammation and stop pains due to inflammation
- Anti-tumor and cancer prevention
- Anti-biotic, anti-viral, anti-fungal – prevents or modulates all infections
The juice is sold only through distributors; please contact me if you need more information, dmessah@yahoo.com

rivas, get a bottle of extra virgin olive oil and convince your better half to massage your body with it at least once a day :)

I won't cure it, but you get a full body massage and your skin will feel smoother ;)

Don't know of any bad side effects.

I agree with Dan. I have a friend with an amazing story about Mangosteen and her RA. This just happened a few weeks ago:

My friend Betty has suffered with severe Rheumatoid Arthritis for longer than I have known her. She has bad joint trouble and can't even sleep without moaning and waking literally every hour. I introduced her to the product over the Christmas holiday and gave her a bottle to try.

Today, only 1 week later she tells me she is almost out of juice and desperately needs more! She could not believe the results in only a few days and honestly, either could I. She slept for 5 straight hours last night and her arm that gives her the most trouble is feeling better than it has in years. I honestly got teary eyed when I heard this... This is nothing short of amazing and I am so thankful she is feeling better.

If anyone would like more information on how this might help you, I'd be happy to share. My email is andreaorganics@cox.net

Yes! You must tell your dentist to prescribe a special toothpaste to build up your enamel (if needed) and also watch for very dry mouth. Extra care to keep them clean. Go to web-site about teeth health and R.A.

hey guys, i am new to this....i have just been told that i have a "weakly" positive rheumatoid factor.....i have very little joint pain but my SI joints stay inflamed and painful all the time. My rheumatologists says that RA doesn't really effect the lower back. Anyone else have this experience.......do i have RA or possilby AS?

I have had Rheumatoid arthritis,& Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma. anti Inflammatory drugs killed my stomach and didn't work. The only thing that works and keeps me pain and inflammation free and also my friends is ACAI juice. It has natural anti-inflammatory properties and is highly antioxidant. It has no side effects and keeps me running instead of being grounded by stiffness. For more info email me at M0nkey50@aol.com

Hi Joe,
I just got diagnosed with RA and now feel like the only 43 year old male to ever get diagnosed with this thing. How old were you when you got diagnosed? How life-altering has the whole thing been? Have you found that stress can make symptoms worse?
Sorry for all the questions but this is all new and a little scary to me.

Hey Jim, I'm new here to this discussion but there just might be some interesting information for you to look at. Here is an educational website that talks about a scientific food nutrition, www.mannapeople.com/mannangel . It's an actual science that's making a global impact on disease and what alot of people don't know including doctors is that it's listed in the Physicians Desk Reference. This science is natural and gives the body it's OWN ability to heal and regenerate itself, NATURALLY. You may be surprised about what you read, I know I was. I hope this helps.

Hi. If you have arthritis and chronic fatigue, you may also want to take a look at the website I told Jim about below. It's only for education but it will give you some insight on what's available out there that can help your body HEAL itself, NATURALLY.

May I ask all of you something rather personal? Have you ever had a root canal done? And if yes, how many before the onset of RA?

I have beautiful teeth, but only on the outside. A few of them look white, but are dead. I can still vividly remember the onset of RA after a root canal procedure.
I did some research into this subject and found out this:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez...

I thought it could hep some of us. But before you run to have all teeth pulled, could you please share your dental history with the rest of us?
