Abbott Labs loses $1.7 billion Humira patent lawsuit to Johnson...

In one of the largest patent verdicts in U.S. history, a federal jury Monday said Abbott Laboratories should pay nearly $1.7 billion in damages to Johnson & Johnson, which claimed the suburban Chicago drug giant used J&J technology to make a blockbuster rheumatoid arthritis drug.

Its not surprising to see two pharmaceutical giants battling it out over their premier blockbuster drugs. It's an interesting argument to say that the drug was procured from human DNA rather than mouse DNA but that does not necessarily mean that the patent in question was not still infringed. Apparently the court in Texas didn't think so either.
