Geintal Psoriasis

I basically don't get psoriasis anywhere on my body except down stairs. It is a total nightmare. When I first had it I was 21 and had no idea what it was as I had never experienced psoriasis after misdiagnosis and a quack doctor (who told me to focus on inside not outside? Wt?) I finally found a really good doctor that specialises in this delicate area. It is definitely an emotional rollercoaster. After battling it for a year (no relationships ehmm) I was ok last year only to get thrush this year and be put on sporanox probably for the rest of this year as thrush and psoriasis work off each other in cycles. Just when it was all getting better I had a psoriasis flare up and am back to square one using advantan (hydrocortisone) and sigmacort (weak over the counter steroid) but it seems to be feeling a bit better but looking worse. Of course this is something that I have to sort out with my doctor who is considering trying me on dovonex (which I have read isnít good for the delicate skin?). I have read about protopic but it has adverse effects with the drug I am taking for the thrush. As a person I have quite an active lifestyle, drinking with friends partying, relationships. I am wondering if anybody else experiences this rare form of psoriasis (vulva psoriasis) and if so how do you get around it (diet? Medicines?) also how do you deal with it meeting people or entering relationships. I find this especially hard, I am young, quite attractive and looking to meet someone but I just feel as though I pull out on people that care about me due to the fear of having to cope with this and relationships. Especially since I donít get it anywhere else on my body obviously it is a sex life killer and not many guys out there can accept that a girl who looks like the package in fact is quite the opposite.
Anyway if anyone has similar experiences or can give me some advice about how they made life changes to deal with this I would appreciate it.

Hi - I've had psoriasis off and on on my penis and testicles for 15 years. I've also had psoriasis on other areas of my body and for the last 6 months have been undergoing narrowband uvb therapy through a dermatologist with amazing results. I'm almost clear everywhere. You may want to consider getting some narrow band uvb down there - it is sensitive and more prone to burning, but an experienced dermatoligist can start you out on a light enough dose that you won't burn. I have used dovobet down there as well and it does work - although it tingles a bit (not in a good way).

I've had the same problem for years. I got psoriasis from chickenpox when I was three, and I know just how frustrating and humiliating it can be. But on the relationships front - I refused to let my boyfriend go anywhere near there for months but when i finally told him about it, it wasn't a problem at all. He couldn't care less and it's helped me a lot... When you find someone it won't make the slightest difference in the world....! Trust me...

I have psoriasis on 80% of my body. I got it 3 years into my relationship with a wonderful woman. We just celebrated our 16 years together. She hates the condition, but loves me ! I get it down south once in awhile. I found a great salve that clears up my face, ears, penis, etc. in a matter of hours. I can't take any internal meds, due to other conditions I have. It is called "Bag Balm". Available online & some Pharmacies, not prescription. Don't know how it works women. It is really for cows chafed utters, but it works !!
