April 2012: Saw aplmetto, nettle, cialis, etc etc ..YOU'll BE LUCKY and make someone rich at the same time. Still, if you feel it's doing you good, then keep taking it. I triedall these and more and wasted time and money in the process. Bo benefit to me.. So I was eventually told to undergo a TURP with all it's long term side effects. I wasn't ready to get old and dribbly, so I looked at the latest research and found the GAT GOREN procedure..... Check it out.. I was so impressed that I undertook the painless procedure a week ago.. already I see an improvement. The Doctors who have developed this are:
Dr Yigal Gat, MSc, MD, PhD, Head of Andrology & Interventional Radiology at the Maayanei Hayeshua Medical Center in Bnei Brak, Israel, and a research consultant in Condensed Matter Physics, Sub-Micron Research, Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot, Israel.
and
Dr Menachem Goren, B.A. cum laude in Biology at Harvard University and medical degree from Temple University in Philadelphia, did specialty training in Diagnostic Radiology and neuroradiology at Washington University. At the Rabin Medical Center in Petach Tikva, Israel, he served as a senior interventional radiologist until 2006. During that period, he spent time at the University Hospital of Ghent, Belgium, where he was introduced to the transvenous approach to varicocele treatment initially developed by Prof. M. Kunnen.

As you can see they're no cowboys.....

I went to Israel for the procedure. If you contact the GAT GOREN CLINIC and ask, they will advise of nearest hotels, transfers etc. They have a very helpful admin team who will make it easy for you. I stayed at the Leonardo City Tower - a five minute walk from their offices and a half hour drive to the hospital where they carried out the procedure. I stayed in a club room. It was finctional and there was a lot of traffic noise but they food was first class.

A few week into my "recovery" there is a very noticeable improvement for me, I get up mostly less and sometimes never at night, the urgency is less, the strwam stronger and less need to cdouble void. Gat And Goren have told me that full effect takes six months to a year. So there is still some way to go. BUT I could live the rest of my life as I am at the moment without too much bother - thanks to GAT and GOREN.....

For sure men with enlarged prostate FAR FAR outnumber the PC patients. They experience life-altering symptoms and it's not easy. Supplements are often considered scams like Super Beta Prostate which has actually been very helpful for thousands. Not only is there a large population of men who swear by it but also a body of research that supports Super Beta Prostate's effectiveness to improve prostate health.

I've had BPH for years. Been using many different supplements, with moderately good effect. But my urine retention has been getting worse and now doc says I need TURP, before I ruin bladder or kidneys. Damn........ I've been doing some homework and I think I might opt for the new Greenlight XPS 180W laser instead of TURP.
How many of you guys have had to open up the plumbing with TURP or LASER???
I will look up the "GAT GOREN" treatment too.
Thanks.....

Honestly, one of the most effective treatments I've used was beta sitosterol, which is found in Super Beta Prostate. I came across a review of it from http://mysuperbetaprostatereviews.com , and have been really impressed with it since.

It has drastically cut down my trips to the washroom at night, and has alleviated some of my other frustrating symptoms.

When I hear about some of the more extreme BPH treatments, I cringe a little bit (especially some of the surgical options). I'm glad I went the natural route first.

I have ordered prescription drugs (without a prescription) online from http://inhousegeneric.info about two years ago, and was pleased with the speed and quality of service.
I'm thinking of doing the same thing with my medication. The meds is expensive, but there is a generic version available overseas.
I love the idea of taking responsibility for my own health (or lack of health) and skipping the bureaucracy... to say nothing of having to drive to the doctor, wait in line, yet again, to get a prescription refilled.

I had the green-light laser surgery in Oct. 2012. I had had enlarged prostate problems for years. I have just turned 70. Two years ago I had a diagnosis of bladder stones which were too big to pass. I had laser surgery to break them up and remove them. I did not have BPH surgery then. After getting a diagnosis of a 2.4 cm. bladder stone again (due to urine retention), I decided on green light laser for the prostate enlargement and the lasering of the bladder stone. The surgery was done in a little over an hour. I had a catheter for 2 days. For the first 4 weeks had no improvement. Then everthing fell into place. I now urinate about 8 x per day instead of 20x or so. I can tell that I am completely empty after urinating. Before the surgery I usually felt I could go again, and usually did within an hour or so. I get up once or twice per nigh, but the doctor advised that is a result of my bladder not being able to stretch enough due to my previous constant urinating. The bladder gets less elastic with too much use and bladder stones form when urine is constantly left in bladder. I would recommend green-light laser surgery over turp from what I have found. It is mostly bloodless after a day or two and no pain. I hope this helps someone.

I should also have commented that I have tried all of the prescription and non-prescription medications over the past 10-12 years and tried to fool myself that they were helping, but were not. Avodart and others did not help and have side effects. Saw palmetto and nettles did noting for me. I had also taken beta-prostate and think it is just a scam. The green light seems the safest surgery and supposedly has the same relief as the TURP lasting 5-10 years.
