A Question on several boards on class action against Greenlight. I have found none in stock reports on Parent Co. ENDO Pharma. Stock Ticker ENDP. owner of American Medical Devices maker of the Green light. The BEST BPH treatment??.
Then why do they also own and market as the Best Healthtronics THULIUM laser for BPH.
Yes they also OWN Healthtronics.
If I was the best why would I buy the rest???

Yep they try and get you to do it. I think it's 1/2 an ego thing. Mine for 5 yrs. Now can get insufficient experience imfo. from his office. Looking elsewhere. DR must provide imfo. Some do, most don't.
How many have you done? What size? How offen? Complication rates?
Mine now refuses to refill my flomax script after 5 yrs. Putting pressure on me no way.
Can a diffent Dr. help you. They have some kind of implant according to the web. Sorry you got abused. Flyer

I had my laser surgery done about 4 months ago by Dr.Wen Lin in Saint Augustine, FL as a outpatient. Am I glad I did have it done. I have no complications at all. My frequent bathroom trips are history. Yes I did have some accidents due to my fault only. But I think Dr. Lin may be one of the best surgeons in this field.

If you have any complications, my suggestions would be to consult him first.

I had Greenlight done about 5 1/2 months ago.I still get up about 5-8 times a night and my bladder still doesn't hold much urine. When i get a small amount in my bladder i get the feeling i have to go because of the discomfort and pain if i delay in peeing. I called the Doctor in Toronto where i had it done and he said that it didn't sound right. My doctor is going to preform a cysto on December 16 th to see if there is any blockage. My local doctor wants to do Turp but he is inexperienced and i would perferr to have PVP done again if needed.

This procedure is not worth the risks. A Top Doctor at university of MD said to do a TURPIN instead of the green light. This could be a big

As a result of a problematic green light laser surgery (see posts 631,692,694,703,and 714), my bladder and sphincters were severely damaged by overheating. As the bladder healed, the holes where the ereters enter carring the urine from the kidneys were sealed over and the urine backed up into the kidneys. I got very sick, went into renal failure and ended up in the hospital for 12 days. I now have catheters coming from the kidneys, out through my back, and to leg bags strapped onto my legs. I have to empy the bags a few times daily and have the dressings on my back changed twice a week. The visiting nurse did that for a month and then trained my wife to do it since the Medicaid only covers that for the first month after hospitalization. The doctors are now guessing what to do next. Not sure at this point if the bladder will hold enough urine to keep it. The sphincters have been judged to be fatally injured and I will need an artificial sphincter if the bladder can be used. If the bladder cannot be used then I will have to have a colostomy. All this because of a wierd situation with the green light laser surgery.

I had my GLL done by the doctor named Wen Lin in St.Augustine, FL and I have had no complications after only a couple of days. This has been almost six months now and I think it is one of the best decisions of my life. I guess Dr.Lin is the best around here anyway. That is just my opinion.

FLYER

This is not AJOY but my prostate was as large as it could get without busting my bladder. I had to go to the emergency room because of my procrastination. It has been over two years now and the GL was a sucess. Although my waiting longer than I should have made recovery longer I have been normal for over two years. I used a doctor in Beavercreek Ohio by the name of Sarmina.
Make sure your surgeon has a hundred or hundreds of the GL procedures.

Unsure as to whether I should have the Green Light Laser procedure done I read all 700+ reviews on those of you who've had it &, though most seem to be negative, decided to go ahead & had it done November 27, 2011 here in Cary, NC with Dr. Unger who has done literally hundreds of these procedures (very important for the procedure). Even though it was to be an outpatient procedure,in post-operative I had a great deal of bleeding so was kept in the hospital overnight. Once home & with the catheter & accompanying bag my stream was clear within two days time. Overall the procedure was very successful where I had a urine stream like the good old days, no incontinence, good erections & no retrograde problem. All was well until Dec. 2 when, after a strenuous day in the yard & resuming taking daily aspirin & naproxin on an "as needed" basis (hip replacement due in Jan., 2012)all of a sudden I was passing deep red blood. Scary. But, since I knew the causes, I took care of the problem on my own & now am OK. I am very happy with the results and have two bits of advice for those considering: the physician is most important; & after the procedure and you're feeling great, don't overdo physical work for about 3 months time. A caveat: I am 78 years young, work out 4x per week & have for decades & keep myself in excellent shape & healthy and these are very important keys to recovery from any type of surgical procedures. You may not have the same results but I support Green Light Laser surgery. It worked great for me. Take care of yourself.

Saw Dr. this am. Orlando. He has done 300 plus in 80-100g range I am 98g. Told I Might have bleeding like frank had. Expect complications for 3-6 mo at your size. Blatter has to adajust. Cath for 3-4 days at home. Uses XPS system states it removes a lot more in same time. He removes as much as possiable. Rather than just a clean path thru the prostate.
They DO REGROW some more than others.
Will have this Dr. do it. after I pass hospital screening.
States he has done and HATES button plasma. takes to long on large ones several other problems. Stoped using it. Gets most patients from other Uros, Anyone can do small ones!

Flyer, could you provide any further detail on why your Dr hates the plasma button. Am scheduled to have it done in Orlando in Jan. Also, would be helpful to have your Dr's name. It might be helpful to have a consultation with him.Thanks.
