Smoking "Pot" While Pregnant?

I am currently 9 weeks pregnant. And I will admit to being a pot smoker. I'm not the type of person to sit around all day, do nothing and smoke 24/7, as I can stretch a gram to last me 4-5 days (Unless I share of coarse)

However, I have not been smoking since I found out I was pregnant, which was a little over a week ago, had I known sooner, I would have stopped sooner. Here is the thing, I have been having headaches, and random nausea throughout the day, normally only after I eat, even if its just one cookie, and it lasts for quite some time, making it so sometimes I only end up eating one small meal or even just one snack in a days time.

My friend who is a mother of 1 and is expecting her second baby suggested that I take a hit or two to relieve the headaches, and to do the same when the nausea kicks in.

Just wanted others opinions on this, from moms and moms to be who are or where pot smokers.

I smoked pot 30 year ago when I was pregnant. My daughter was born 8 weeks early weighing 3 lbs.2oz. She was in the intensive care unit for 6 weeks. When she was 4 weeks old, she quit breathing, but was resusitated. They said that my placenta had separated from the uterus. Please dont take any chances with your childs health.Your childs health and problems will affect them for the rest of their life. Your morning sickness is just an aggravation to you.Learning and other problems last forever. My guillt is still with me and is something I would trade for a minor inconvenience like morning sickness in a minute. Also, coarse is a term refering to something that is harsh, not smooth. You probably meant to use the correct word---course--- when referring to your sharing of pot.

My Mother smoked pot and cigs through out all 4 of her pregnancys and we are all fine smoking pot while pregnant won't harm your baby, compulsive 24/7 smoking will! Cigs can cause your baby to have heart problems, low birth weight and baby can be still born. weed is all natural cigs are made up of a bunch of chemicals that travels through your blood to babys!

But it will not be good for the baby. Maybe that's just an effect of your pregnancy. go tot your doctor instead.

Taking a hit or two (I dont think will) hurt your baby. If it helps with being sick, do it. My friend smoked while she was sick. Her baby is as cute and healthy as any baby.

I feel the pot today is a lot stronger than that of 10 to 15 years ago. Medical stuff toxic. Also kids could have ADHD and or hippertension.

Is it safe to smoke marijuana during pregnancy?
No. Smoking marijuana during pregnancy may affect your baby's growth and the development of his nervous system. Studies have shown that children who were exposed to marijuana during pregnancy sometimes have problems focusing their attention and solving problems.

Smoking anything can reduce the amount of oxygen to your baby, giving it numerous problems in the future. Best off not doing it.

I'm in the same boat as you. I did a lot of research on this topic because I was worried too. Don't smoke anything! Try to be as healthy as possible, every woman is different and smoking while pregnant has a different effect on every pregnancy. It can be very life harming to your child or not make any noticeable changes at all but smoking while pregnant 99% of the time will have a negative effect. Don't put your child at risk, its not worth it. As for the sickness, and headaches, I throw up all the time and get bad headaches. I got a prenatal pill from my Dr. And so far its help a lot. Talk to your Dr. They will let you know what is best for you during pregnancy.

I do hope this message finds you well. I am very curious to know how things turned out. I have been having serious morning/afternoon/night sickness. I am eating one small meal per day and I feel very weak. How did your baby turn out. Were you able to find an alternate solution??
