SHOUT OUT TO ALL CPPs! Since all individual med forums shut down...

Not to begin to argue the freedom of speech issue that has been clearly violated by the Topix administration, I am wondering where all of the "regular" Topix posters are going to go, since all individual medication forums have been shut down, to continue their discussions regarding the medical management of chronic pain?

Since that "medical management" very often involves the use of controlled substances, are we no longer able to have an open discussion on the LEGAL therapeutic use of such medication and what is working best for us?

This is not to deny that some aspects of the forums were used as a tool to attempt to illegally divert such medication for recreational use, as a member of Topix since 2008, I have posted hundreds upon hundreds of responses to legitimate questions and concerns about the use of said medication and have provided sound medical information to any/ all that have requested it. These topics comprised the majority of threads on the forums now shut down.

The question remains, CPPs need to have a place to post, just like those given the right to post on a variety of topics that many would otherwise find offensive or unnecessary, but since that is a matter of opinion, that is not for the individual member or Topix as a whole to decide.

We, too, would like the right to post on the topics we see fit... Once again, a few idiots ruin everything for everyone!

WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE???

Was also looking into: www.topix.com/forum/med

It would be a shame to see all the good people go as a result of one of Topix' most active and lively forums shutting down. There were good people posting, knowledgeable individuals with much to contribute, eager to help those in need with sound advice or by answering questions one may be afraid to ask someone they know, in an honest dignified manner.

Those are the members we need to continue posting, if not here, than somewhere.

Looking at the activity on this particular forum, there would be much to gain and ya'll might actually enjoy Topix more than you possibly imagined...

Kindest Regards,
MSara

When it was shut down many people that had made friends on here no longer will be able to find each other. You and I are lucky because we exchanged email addresses. I will send this thread to the few people I know from this forum. I agree with everything you so eloquenty wrote. Take Care....Soph

I agree Sara, there were many people that had talked for years about their pain and different treatments. I too have been on that forum for as long as I can remember. I haven't been real advice as of late because I agree the place had turned into as place for scam artists to get rich but there were still some good threads with good information and good people on it. I am sad that I will lose touch with people I have chatted with for years due to the idiots pretending to sell meds. Hopefully some of them will check this page so we can remain in touch. Wood hate to think it is just the three of us now.......even though we are the cream of the crop. Ha

Hey lady and other ladies on this thread. A lot of the good people from the Vic and oxy forum have went to the chronic pain forum here
http://www.topix.com/health/chronic-pain
Hope to see you three over there. I've always enjoyed reading all of your comments and all three of you make good, informative posts and are always considerate and polite. Some of the regular posters I see on the chronic pain forum are Wally(now "beach bum") kimmy, Daisy Dooks, Nom de plum, The real in the know, Crystal Clear, freckles are smoochable, Time to choose, Dabain, Flamike and many more nice respectful posters are over there on the Chronic pain forum. Although its becoming over run already by spammers and scammers we have all agreed if they delete that forum we will go to the Zoology forum lol, cause ya know, Here we come, walking down the street We get the funniest looks from everyone we meet. Hey, hey, we're the monkees And people say we monkey around,But we're too busy singing To put anybody down. You know that we want to do what we like to do, the only time we get restless is around something new...I don't know why that song came to mind...and all I can see is a bunch of us mattress surfing down the road while we sing lmao(I really hope atleast one of you , and no I'm not high, just in a good mood and happy I found some more members that aren't POS scammers or mean trolls. Hope to see ya ladies over in the chronic pain forum;)
