I was given an epidural for low back pain. I now have a post dural bleed and am leaking spinal fluid. At first I was panicking and very scared. I was at work and had to lay on the floor for hours to alleviate the pain. I didnt know that you can't stand up when this happens. I left work early and almost past out driving on the way home due to the pain. I went in today and the doctor that performed the epidural tried to make it out to be my fault. He said I should have come in earlier (3 days ago). I couldnt move. I told him I was in too much pain. Anyways I ate more pain medicine than I should have, I was honest with him and told him I didn't know what to do or what it was. He said why would you consider going to the hospital or eating more pain pills than you should. I said because I was in an extreme amount of pain. I have never encountered a problem like this. I feel that they made a mistake and flipped it on me like it was my fault. He also said he's drug testing me next month??? Why is this my fault? Whay do I feel guilty? I usually go in get my injection, and everything is ok. I feel that you shouldn't fear going into these places for care. Now what do I do and how do I make sure that I can maintain a good relationship with this pc? It took me forever to find a place and I would hate to be dropped because of something I didn't do. I don't use drugs. I'm honest. I pay my taxes and it's very frustrated to be labeled as I felt in there.
