PLEASE, PLEASE PLEASE - DONT GIVE UP!I have been dealing with chronic back pain for 5 years I'm in my late 30's have 2 kids a great job and hubby but I give up I'm done can't take it anymore there is all this talk about people OD on there pain killers but I wonder what the percentage is of people killing themselves because of undertreated chronic pain:(
believe me I KNOW EXACTLY how u feel, been there and felt the same way. i hurt for so long before they finally did an operation, which BTW worked for me, and it Can work for u too. so please look into Every option u can, go to as many doctors if u have to.
i do know with health insurance, u have to go thru a lot of different options before they will agree and pay for operations. thats what happened to me. tried everything, went to 2 different doctors too. Even after the operation i had (removed the disk completely) it was several months before i felt that it really was going to work, i still hurt but NOT nearly as before.
back pain is probably the worse kind of pain because its 24/7 pain. i always say its something i wouldnt wish on an enemey.
so i Do understand how u feel, even the day i was heading to the operating room, i prayed to God that If it didnt work, to please let me go. i didnt want to be around anymore with this pain. so believe i do understand how u feel - completely!
but like u, i had a husband i love, kids i love and a life that i wanted to live for. so Don't give up, there is help out there - im sure of it. even if its not the kind of help where it will take away the pain forever, it may be enough to help u Want to live!
No one understands how u feel until They themselves go thru this kind of pain. u can tell ur family exactly how u feel and they probably wont understand it like u would like them to. but remember they can't. its not possible for them to because they see u as a whole person, they dont see a cut, or u with broken bones, or anything to see with their eyes - they dont see ur broken inside. therefore they cant really get it.
i'd like to say ur story will end the same as mine did, but of course i cant. i dont know the whole situation of ur problems and wouldnt understand it anyway. but i Sincerely Hope it turns out as well for You as it did for me. please hang in there for a little while longer, push every option that u can. Make ur husband help u find the help u need, because i know u cant really do it on ur own while hurting this much.
i will tell u too, with me, the operation helped but that doesnt mean u will be the same as u once were before the back problems, u still need to be careful what u do from then on afterwards. u can and Will probably hurt here and there, even years later (like me, 9 yrs its been)- u just never will be the same but hopefully ur story will end like mine and u will have a reason to live again.
remember u do have a life worth living for, so it Is worth fighting for.
Best of Luck to u, i'll pray for u and hopefully u will be able to write back here and tell us - u made it and are happy again.
<3 & Hugs to u..
