Am I going crazy?

Blackpool, UK

#1 Mar 28, 2013
I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis several years ago. I worked in a stressful job and found it increasingly difficult to carry on because of the pain so I opted for early retirement a couple of years ago. I had an MRI scan which revealed problems with the cervical spine, which proved to me that I wasn't imagining the pain in my neck. But I actually feel like I AM a pain in the neck!!
These days, I cope fine with the neck pain. My GP is really understanding but I don't like to be a nuisance. I sometimes think I'm going crazy though - I can't believe that I have pain in many parts of my body although I've only been diagnosed with neck problems! I often find it difficult to get up when I've been sitting for any length of time (getting out of the car can be really painful), my fingers feel stiff,my joints crack and I often have 'jumpy' legs when I go to bed so I end up getting up so I don't disturb my husband. Some days are worse than others and sometimes I think I haven't got osteoarthritis at all - that it's all just in my head!Does anyone else feel the same?Or has anyone any ideas for what I could do?
