Scientists closer to finding cause of osteoarthritis
A team from the University of Southern Denmark found shortened ends of chromosomes, were linked to the onset of the degenerative disease.

This is good news. Just an additional information: Osteoarthritis of the hip is brought by deterioration of articular cartilage and wear-and-tear of the hip joint, experts say. Included in the list of its causes are genetics; previous hip injury; previous fracture which alters hip alignment; congenital and developmental hip disease; and subchondral bone that is either be too soft or too hard.
