I am so grateful that there are people out there like Panera's employee. I experienced a situation one morning were my bloodsugar was so low that I did not get up with my alarm, making me miss my scheduled work start time. The lead technician of the department I worked in was concerned about me not showing up for work. He made several attemps to call me, never giving up the calls till I finally got up out of bed and answered the phone. It was obvious to my co worker that I was not "with it" and he kept me on the phone talking to me and encout=raging me to go to the fridge and get a soda out and start drinking it. By the time the ambulance got to my home, which my co worker had arranged to have done, I was coherent and ready to start my day. If not for my co worker that morning, I may never have gotten up at all.
