Modalert from India is cheap and crap. Please do not get involved in this stuff.
Modalert from India IS NOT CRAP. It may not be as strong as generic provigil but it still has some effect.
I had 3 last Friday night and stayed up all night at a party.

I have used Med-Store twice now (medstore.biz). After your first order you get 20% more free on all subsequent orders. The first time I emailed the company because the tracking information seemed all screwy and I wanted to make sure the package was on its way. They responded right away and assured me it was and to email back when I got it. It came the next day and they even responded to that email with a nice thank-you one. This last time it came in less than 6 days from India to the middle of the US. USPS arrives with a special truck because it comes express delivery (the lowest price shipping option). Although it modalert and I really prefer provigil, it has worked (still not as well as provigil). I don't need much so I buy the bigger pills and break them in half. Hope this helps.

My dr. just prescribed Provigil for SWSD. I didn't know it wouldn't be covered by my insurance until it was called in to the pharmacy. It costs $349 for 30 - 200mg pills! Who the heck can afford that? Anyway, I found this forum while I was looking on line for cheaper prices. After reading quite a few of the posts, I'm thinking about ordering Modiadal since it's manufactured by Cephalon. Has anyone in the U.S. had any problems with Aura Pharmacy?

Some thoughts for you:

Cephalon has just been added to the S&P 500 Index as one of the most lucrative US corporations, if you are wondering whether they make a profit.

Federal law in India prohibits the restricted patent of any prescription drug; that is, any prescription drug can be manufactured as a generic. So prices on India brands are competitive and LOW, which is not a reflection on their quality.

Thank you Maxyz. I am definitely keeping that in mind. I am also trying to decipher the information I'm gathering about the formulations of the various brands and the differences, however subtle, they might be. It sounds as though some of these formulas, though legitimate, border on an amphetamine-like experience. I want something mellow...something that helps me concentrate without feeling drowsy and just eases me through my day with my eyes wide open. I haven't had to work a 12 hour shift on days in 11 years! The change is taking its toll on me.

I'm just curious why does Cephalon charge so much for Provigil? Wouldn't they sell more therefore make more if they sold it for a more reasonable amount? Since it's not covered under most insurance plans it seems to be out of reach for a lot of people that would otherwise purchase it (I'm one of those).

Also, just wondering what the insurance companies pay Cephalon for Provigil? Am I correct that they don't pay the same amount that it would cost a consumer out of pocket?

Hey man I'm a Uk student as well. Just took some Modapro about an hour ago and not feeling anything/noticing any gains in concentration.
I just read something saying they were fakes- hows your head feeling?

I bought 30 200mg modafinil from an online pharmacy called urantiapharma (or something like that), it cost me 50 euros with delivery (I'm in the UK so came up on my credit card as about £35, which is about $70). I knew it would be generic, but as I don't have narcolepsy, and only wanted to use it as a lifestyle drug to help me at college that didn't bother me. First they sent Modapro, I took 200mg, and it seemed to work fine! Another 200mg taken at 5pm kept me working all night.
However, AVOID this online pharmacy, they recently charged my credit card again and send me more tablets (Modalert this time), without me ordering them!

Hi there, I have a feeling Modapro are fakes. I have been talking them and noticed no difference. I am usually very sensitive to any form of meds.

I would be cautious everyone. Counterfeit drugs made in India is big business (I have experience first hand when traveling India- and come from a family of pharmacists) The companies probably have people on forums such as this plugging their drug.

Who knows. I dont think I will take my Modopro again. I don't trust it.

Hey there,

I'm in the same boat. I have a feeling they are fake after taking one. Gutted. If anyone knows where to get the good stuff shipped to the UK please lets us know!

I just ordered some generic modafinil from Urantiapharma (or something like that!)- it's arrived today, in a light blue box called 'MODAPRO-100' manufactured by Cipla in India, BUT like some other people have posted it was shipped from Fiji (hmm suspicious) and arrived much quicker than expected (I'm in the UK).
The tablets are oval shaped in blister packs. I've just taken two and I'll let you know if they're real or horrible and fake :)

I purchased Modalert thru Pharmacyrxworld.com . My 17 yr old daughter & I both have narcolepsy--me to a much more severe degree. My insurance covers it for me--not for my daughter--even though she meets the criteria. We are in a legal battle right now but she needed it--made all the difference in high sch. for her--She feels the modalert (200 mg 2X daily) doesn't have the same effect as Provigil at same dose. I take 350 mg daily-so I take 150 Provigil in am and 200 mg Modalert in pm to see difference--I feel very strongly the Modalert is not working as well. How can I find out the chemical composition of it since it mfg'd in India? I am very concerned -- she really needs this.
I too feel Modalert does not work well. I have been taking Provigil for 3 years with never a problem. Now that insurance doesn't cover, I tried Canada. They pretty much insisted that I try Modalert from India. They said it was the same exact chemical make-up and FDA approved. Since this was not true, I also would like to know the exact chemical ingredients. My adivise, stick with Provigil/Modafinil.

I answered your question here on Nov. 2; you should read through the forum. I'll repeat: "Modafinil" is, or has become, the common trade name for 2-[di(phenyl)methylsulfinyl]ac etamide, which, understandably, you'd rather not have to remember. Modafinil is marketed under different brand names as per country, most of them not associated with Cephalon, because 2-[di(phenyl)methylsulfinyl]ac etamide is 2-[di(phenyl)methylsulfinyl]ac etamide. There is some discussion of the efficacy of differing manufacturing techniques for different brands, but the price differential is so great between the Cephalon brands and the generics that few people care. At the moment I'm using Modapro but have also used Modalert. In my opinion the freshness of the stock is more important than the brand.

I have read a lot of your comments and very suprised at the amount of you are saying about fakes. I have used the company
http://www.the-clap.com/modalert.htm for the past 18 months not a problem and it seems to work for me. I recommended them to a friend about 5 weeks ago. She got pretty quick delvery and they even give a 20% bonus on here second order.
The price seems competitive when compared to others, and the service is good. even has live chat. hope it helps
happy dreams

I'm currently in Mexico, where Modiodal costs $39 for 14 200mg. tablets. This low price is partly due to the weak state of the peso. I am new to modafinil -- have taken it for 4 months only so I'm prob. not as sensitive to it's nuances as some of you. This has the Cephalon name on the box & is made in the US. I also tried a month's worth from im4u.com , and I believe this was Modalert. IMHO the Modiadal *is* stronger & gives a bit more kick than the Indian generic, but I agree that the cost difference is enormous for US buyers. I had great service from im4u.com , though. One difference is that the Modiadal/Provigil reduces my appetite much more than the Indian generic. I nearly have to remind myself to eat, and I only take 100mg a day.

To clarify my last post: if I wasn't able to buy Modiadal as cheaply as I can, I would use an IOP to buy Modalert. Though it seems a bit weaker it's still very effective and definitely worth the financial savings.

The Modafinil I purchased from Good health pharmacy is REAL. It's manufactured by Sun Pharmaceuticals - and is reputable, fda-approved, etc. I've been ordering from them for a while and have had no problems or complaints yet.:)
ps - how did you know the stuff was fake? did it just have no affect on you?
Nothing is FDA approved outside the USA so not sure what you mean?
I too have this product from Sun Pharmaceuticals and was wondering about its effectiveness. So I wondered where you got your information regarding the reliability of Modafinil, and who told you it was FDA approved?

Some pharmacy Web sites quote "FDA approved" or "USDA approved" which, in this context, means nothing. Modafinil is approved by the FDA for human medicinal consumption; we all know that.

When I ordered provigil, it came from India's SUN manufacturers. When I got it the box said modalert and It did absolutely nothing! I took 12 200mg tablets just to prove that it was absolute crap (I was pretty sure it wouldn't do anything) and nothing happened! Not even a stomach ache! My doctor said that in India they don't have laws on expiration dates and medication, so it might have been expired. I think that it is risky ordering from India because it seems as though sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, based on people's responses to it.

Oh thanks Vik. I'll stick with GoodhealthPharmacy though just because I know they are a reputable pharmacy and I'm living overseas and don't think your company delivers here.:) Thanks for the info though.
If you live out-side of U.S., you can buy things at this online-pharmacy. I think the most of them are cheaper and this is a reliable shop.
