A small amount of people will always back up and support Wakefield, because that's all they have to cling to. They will never accept his guilt or the harm he continues to create.

He stood up tp Pharma??? Hardly. He created his own measles vaccine which he wanted to sell to Pharma! And it did contain the measle virus. His attemps failed.
People support Wakefield, the criminal, because that's all the have to cling to and it's not the 'science' he produced for why people support him. He says what people want to hear, if it's the truth or not.

Let's see, just how does patents work? You have to have a formulated create product to patent. Patent application must include one or more claims defining the invention which must meet the relevant patentability requirements, to prevent others from making, using, selling, or distributing the patented invention without permission.
He just was caught before he could market it to the Pharma's.
"God you're stupid." to believe Wakefield didn't have a pre-planned agenda. But people like you will cling to Wakefield like he's the cult leader no matter what he does.

Wakefield was the doctor who investigated these kids medically. It was not him running for autism, but rather mothers going to see himm for their kids autism.

He is not like todays coward doctors who prefer to study autism in dishes only. No wonder they have no clue to autism. The question is why they behave this way:
Parents will find out the truth that vaccines cause autism.

so what caused autism before vaccines were used? and why can't any anti-vaccine nutters ever answer that?

Attorneys sent the parents to Wakefield, and those same attorneys paid for his debunked study.
You're right, he's not like todays doctors, or any other doctor in the past. You know, those who don't create conflict of interest?

This question was on another topic, and never answered. I'd love to see a legit answer that as well as why vaccines target more boys than girls, which doesn't include name-calling and attacks.

nor do I see what "Pharma" really has to do with Autism, Aspergers, etc, as their is no "cure" at all. The only drugs needed are sometimes anti-anxiety , as being autistic and having to try to live with "normal" people causes problems. Autism itself is not a disease or psychosis .

Well, Pharma makes vaccines, and Vioxx. And since Vioxx may have caused heart attacks in some people who used it, the rational is vaccines (mainly the MMR) then must cause autism.

The funny thing is, is that list 0f 28 studies which are suppose to support Wakefield's study, quite a few pre date 1998 and the MMR vaccine and wouldn't ya know it? They could find kids with autism for their stidies. Amazing, isn't it? But at the same time they use these 28 studies, anti vaxxers deny autism existed prior to vaccines (mainly the MMR).

as autism was only first even named in the 1940s-50s, and Aspergers even later, it is absurd to claim that there wasn't autism before MMR. There are many autistic spectrum people only first diagnosed when into their 50s and 60s. In the earlier days they were badly misdiagnosed , usually as schizo or psychotic. Einstein is accepted to have been "on the spectrum". It would be easy for any study to get hold of people in their 60s, 50s and even older with autism .

So much for no name calling and attacks. I knew there's be no good answer other than attacks.

Anti vaxxers don't understand how autism rates are obtained. They simple weren't counted back in the 50's, 60's and 70's, as well as many other medical disorders. They figure that to mean the rates simple weren't there. May who were mis-diagnosed went to institutions and forgotten about. If your child had a disability, that generation hid them.

Anti vaxxer simple have nothing to back up or support their claim. They just name call, rant and attack people instead to deflect the topic and provide proof.

I expect you think polio didn't exist until polio vaccine was invented. But why argue ? if you people all go ahead and do without vaccines and other "evil" products, you will very soon just all die out, like other fossils who failed to adapt .

Garden variety Anti Vaxxer Syndrome with the side affect of name-calling, name-changing trollism. I hear Pharma is working on a cure for that in the form of a shot.

Inevitable, really. Some people just enjoy buying into the whole conspiracy thing, and I guess this angry person is one of them. Of course, for as long as they KNOW THEY ARE RIGHT, the likes of you and I and anybody else who thinks differently will always only be stool samples.

First time today I've been called a shit. First of many, no doubt.:-)

You just have to put up with the likes of the never ending name changing Winnipeg Canada. Or just ignore him. It's really refreshing how some parents treat others who also have a child with autism. One wonders what makes a person that angry.

In the USA, it's public record to view school stats. Once autism was added to IDEA, the number of IEP's with the primary disability MR dropped, as autism increased. Prior to the 1970's, a child with a disability wasn't allowed in public schools. So unless you hung out at special school or institutions, you'd never see a child with autism and the media rarely spoke of them. Parents hid them. You'd never see that child in the public.

It's odd that the few that cling to Wakefield do. The evidence doesn't support his study and he's gone so low as to have a web site for donations. What doctor in history has ever done that?? None. He's preying off of parents, and those parents are just too cling-on to see it. And it's funny, he IS their only hope. There's no other doctor they support or site more than Wakefield where as the rest of us can site many many doctors and research.
