Most people have no idea what the measles looks like, or any other childhood disease, or just how ill a child can become. Sad, some person who had the measles infected those twins.

What garbage. One in 5,000 will die, but one in 64 (Britain) will become autistic. Fear mongering and unsubstantiated promise of the MMR safety. These two girls did not die or come close to it. They were sick for ahile. Mom freaking out because she has been made to feel guilty. Could be paid too. Her girls now have natural, life long immunity from measles and stronger immune systems. Too bad their Mom is an idiot. Funny how people still don't trust the MMR. A recent Italian court case found it cased autism.

The court did not say the MMR 'cased' autism. Talk about anti vaxxer fear mongering and unsubstantiated statements.

It didn't state it caused, either. The only ones trying to make others believe that is anti vaxxers hyping this court case. For instance, you're a great example.

As I recall,I'm 57, we got mumps and measles as kids. No vaccine at that time. My 2 kids were given the MMR vaccine without any side effects. I believe the MMR vaccine in itself is not the problem, but the preservative used in it to keep it fresh. Just my thoughts on the subject. The preservative could possibly be changed to something less toxic, don't know if that's even an option.

Depends on the type of vaccine. The MMR contained no thimerosal and never did, where as the MMR II did.

No disrespect intended, but helps to understand each vaccine. Live virus vaccines like the MMR don't have preservatives, and never did. Preservatives like thimerosal would kill the virus. Due to this, their shelf life isn't as long, either.

thanks, didn't know that about the vaccine. It's nice to get correct info on here instead of being berated for simply having an opinion, right or wrong.

Thanks for the attack. Anyone can look it up, Winnipeg Canada. Only some vaccines had Thimerosal and Adjuvants in it. The MMR, varicella, polio, flu and Meningococcal conjugate vaccines don't contain any of the 3 types of Adjuvants used.

Only anti vaxxers try and convince others of false ingredients, to continue a conspiracy. The MMR may very well cause more reactions than previously known, but only anti vaxxers will try and convince a person it's due to contents not even in it instead of trying to help figure out the true cause.

Did I say you said anything about Adjuvants? No. Calm down. It was simply added info due to the anti vaxxer who claim aluminum salts replaced Thimerosal.

Yea, any virus can mutate included the measles virus from Kenya which shows you have more risk of exposure to wild viruses by walking out the door than in a vaccine that contains a weakened virus. Your point?

to nail in coffin people like you should keep yor opinions to yourself,i am a close friend of zoe and she is far from an idiot or a mum who is freaking out. i am a nurse of 28yrs and was shocked of the verociousness of this virus as they had to be admitted to hospital. zoe is a strong women and a fantastic caring loving mother and i do not respect your description of a person you have never met. i hope your children never take ill, because you to me would be the type of women who wouldnt be able to cope. zoe did what she thought best and didnt have the twins vacinated, but in hindsight! and she did not get a penny for your information she has done this to warn and advise parents to accept the mmr jab. so please do not slander zoe because thats what your doing and thats a criminal offence.

For anyone who isn't aware, MinnesoDUH, MMR ITALY AUTISM, MMR Italy Autism, Nail in Coffin and Yeah We Know are all the same person from Canada. They like to change their name right and left. They also are a man, not a woman.

That's right, the live measles virus is dangerous, but far less from a vaccine than contracting it from another persons germs who has the measles. Multiple studies have found no connection between exposure to aluminium hydroxide and neurological disorders, and vaccines aren't the only product that contains it.

He's an anti vaxxer, expectations of them are low and he's a great example of how they behave. I will say, this anti vaxxers behavior is one of the worst.

Shared stories such as this article helps other parents weigh their choices. Since many people have never encountered a childhood disease, they have no idea what it would be like, other than for those who share their experiences.
