A drug has been developed at the Univ of Penna that may be the answer.
Their research has shown that PMX 30063 has proven to destroy MRSA bacteria within 30 minutes of contact. Stated in their website - PMX30063 is an antibiotic that mimics natural host defense
This small molecule protein breaks thru the cell wall thus killing the bacteria with no chance of
resistance buildup. It is now in Phase ll of testing. http://polymedix.com/
