Bad medical experience

I thought I would submit my experience with the health care system. My wife had migraine headaches and the doctor prescribed medicine, but the insurance company would not pay for the brand that gives her good relief, only some other medication that did not work.

Try calling the family doctor and just asking for a referral. Mine does this (we have an HMO), and it saves his valuable time for patients who actually need to see him. Also, when my appendicitis hit, and I called him for an appointment, he told me to go straight to the ER.

i sat in the Memorial waiting room for 3 hours with appendicitis. doubled over in pain.. moaning.. when they DID take me back, i was in surgery with in (about) an hour. In the back i was told i should have been MORE vocal about my pain. I guess doubled over in pain, moaning and telling the nurse out front was not enough.

Sounds like you need to figure out how things work.

It's easy to blame others.
