"Food Allergy" is an abnormal immune system response to what should be a harmless food protein; typical symptoms can be drop in blood pressure, constriction of the throat. An true food allergy can result in death if an allergic person comes into contact with their allergen.

"Intolerance" is a body's inability to correctly digest a food eaten. Migraines caused by eating a certain food are usually FOOD INTOLERANCES, not food allergies; I have such a food intolerance to dairy - I get migraines if I eat too much of it. My son has a life-threatening allergy to peanuts.

The difference between Allergies and Intolerances is not well understood by the general population. Please choose your terms correctly, as misusing "food allergy" is a great disservice to the people with true food allergies who struggle to be taken seriously be those who confuse the two.

Many people and doctors don't understand why certain foods and drinks cause migraines. The are two things needed by the body to form the chemical that invokes a migraine headche; namely Nitic Oxide and tyramine. When either is elevated a migraine is possible. Things like yogurt, exercise, and heat increase Nitric Oxide in the body and that is why migraines occurs after these events. What qualifies you as a Migraine researcher? Anyone can set up a website and sell useless garbage on the Internet.

While you do make a valid point Spam Hater...Lyle Henry is correct in his comment. So perhaps he can be given the benefit of the doubt for at least that paragraph. Yogurt and artificial sweetners are two of my most painful triggers.

Laura, my heart goes out to all Migraine sufferers. I know there are all kinds of potential triggers, including certain foods. However, that clown is only interested in separating people from their hard-earned money by selling them useless crap.

My 45 year old sister suffered with them for years. She never had kids and had a hysterectomy at 44. She credits that (hysterectomy) with a proper hormone balance, along with meds, and has 1/5th of the migraines she once had. True story.
