Metabolic Chemical Sensitivity Syndrome

I was diagnosed as having Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and I am also intolerant to many chemicals.I have read medical textbooks and articles from medical journals and I have come to the conclusion that a number of CFSsufferers may have undiagnosed liver disease since xenobiotic chemicals are detoxified in the liver, fatigue is the main symptome of liver disease and it is possible for the liver to be damaged without it showing on blood liver function tests.I don't know if this is of any use to you but just in case what has provided considerable relief from some of my symptoms is a)licorice root and some other herbs(i only know their names in greek) and b)a cholesterol lowering medication simvastatin-I am not sure exactly how it works but I know that the enzymes that break down chemicals use cholesterol as their substrate and they also synthesize bile acids and sex hormones. If you would like to check out some references from medical journals my email address is email@example.com.If you think that it''s irrelevant to you that''s OK,plenty of CFSsufferers think the same way too but then CFS is an umbrella term and scientists don''t try to separate different subgroups and study them separately but instead they average their data so they end up not meaning anything.
