I am 39 and I just had 100mg of testosterone inserted a week ago. My testosterone level was 26. I had suffered from low libido my whole life. Plus had a lot of stress the few past years and my adrenals are probably not producing the testosterone like they should. I received a vitamin B12 shot also because my levels were low. I take VitD. and B12 supplements now.

I still have slight discomfort at insertion site but getting better every day. I do notice an increase in energy, more mental clarity and less irritability. Just waiting for my libido to kick in!

She said I would probably need 125 mg next insertion but wants to start gradual to avoid possible acne side effect.

I go for labs at my 3-4 weeks post insertion.

getting ready to go see a dr. for the pellets, but have to wait till Nov [3months] ARG! the only other option of someone here is a natural pract. who is into hypnotism and all kinds of other stuff I am not comfortable with. Had a hyster. about 4 yrs ago, but they left my ovaries, have had bouts of hot flashes sweats at night, but now it is almost constant, and I have had NO sex drive for over a yr. NONE. Not good for a marriage!! and now, I cannot have intercourse as it is waaay to painful, this is a new symptom..3 months or more with no time in the bedroom is a long time for my husband to have to be without....I dont care for myself cause I have no drive :/ anything I can do in the meantime, like over the counter help for this painful intercourse issue???
Also, excited about the pellets, hoping they are the answer for me, I do not want anything but bioidentical products...kind of stuborn that way

I have been on the pellets for about 2 years now. My doctor raised my pellet strength but the effects are starting to wane. All of my numbers seem to indicate that my testerone levels are good but unfortuantely me libido and sex drive is low.

This is very frustrating and I asked my doctor here in Houston waht would be the cost, etc. if I was to begin an HGH program.
The costs are very high. Average about $700.00 a month. This is in addition to the pellet program. In addition to this each person has to 'qualify' as an HGH deficient patient.
Has anyone tried the HGH program. Sylvester Stallone and a few other celebrities swear by it.

I've been on pellets for a year now. I got 6 of the 200mg pellets and 2 of the 100mg pellets the first time, this lasted 9 months and I notice BIG differences starting at about 2-3wks. The doc also gave me fumara to curtail the conversion of testosterone into estrogen, I take a half a pill every 2wks, it's a really small pill, I think 5mg. So after 9mos my Tlevel got down to 510, so went in and got the same 6-2 dosage. Expensive though, $700 for that many pellets, I'm shopping around now. As for results, it was great the first 9mos. I noticed a big improvement in flexibility, less fatigue, and better stamina when working out or yard work. I also felt better in the morning with the same 8hrs of sleep. On some days I would feel so good that I'd stay up at 5:30 am when I had to pee, instead of going back to bed. As for sex drive, no difference, but I didn't have a problem in that dept. However, my second insertion hasn't proved as effective as the first one, yet. It's been 9wks, and my Tlevel is up to 760, so my numbers are good. Although I don't feel as great as I did about 4mos ago, I'm still a fan of pellets to adjust Tlevel, it's so much more effective than androgel or shots. I still have less fatigue, which was one of my key complaints, but for some reason my energy level and sense of well being has waned, almost back to how I felt before starting the pellets, and you won't find me getting up voluntarily before 7am either. Not sure what's going on with that, but I've been tracking my cortisol numbers with every blood test. I'm told the cortisol numbers will have a big affect on morning energy. Sure enough through the last year, when my cordisol increased after I started pellets I was feeling really good, a huge difference, just feeling great. However cordisol is unrelated to Tlevel, so I'm told, so I'm starting DHEA supplements, which is a product of cordisol in the body. I just started 25mg/day but plan to cut that down once I feel a difference in energy. Some say 25mb isn't good long term, and 5mg is safer.

Hi Can someone give me some advise? I had pellets placed 9 days ago the area is very painful with a large lump under the skin and it feels deep. I am a nurse there is no redness just unsure if this is normal. I would have thought bt now it would not even be tender..

The first pellet I had put in left a huge, nasty bruise. It didn't hurt a lot and there was no lump. But, that person never put any other pellets in. I have been doing this for 6 months and at this point, I actually feel worse than before I started. Not sure if I will continue. I am so tired all the time. That was never an issue before. It has helped stop the hot flashes but nothing else..and now I have bad acne (which has never been an issue for me even as a teenager).

I had pellets injected 9 days ago now. I still cannot roll over at night on the site without waking. The injection site looks good and has healed well. I have a lump in my hip where the pellets are. I am living in fear all the time that someone is going to accidentally hit the severly sore spot. Has anyone experienced this?I am hoping everyday that the tenderness goes away. My husband can not get near me. I want them to shrink!! I want them out!!!! My hip and leg and lower back have pain. I went back to my doctor and he tells me I am probably not a good candidate for them. I will never do this again.

I had the same reaction, After 2 weeks it still felt like a hot rod going into me. I went to the doctor because it also made a deep divit in the area. He said he has never seen that before. I also will never do it again, now I am 1 mos out and I also want them out for many reasons. I work for a surgeon he tried to fish them out but we never found them... I still have a huge knot under the skin. Try some hot compresses it will help.

Ok. have read all the comments. Not sure how I feel now. I am scheduled to have my first insertion of pellet tomorrow. Now I second guessing my decision.

Find a place that does pills or cream or something that you can change if it is off and not have to wait for months!

Pills and creams do not work as well as pellets. Not even close.

I also live in Fort Worth and was wondering if you are still getting the pellets. I just had my second pellet and noticed my hair thinning. I am very worried now and was wondering if you experienced this. What doctor are you going to and are you happy with them.

I got the implant several months ago. The only thing wrong was that I seemed tired a lot of the time and she recommended the pellets. Although I have more energy, everything else seems to have gone wrong. I had very tender breasts. I woke up every time I rolled over. This went on for 2 weeks. After that I had swelling in the vaginal area and tenderness there. That lasted another 2 weeks. I now cry and have mood swings. I have weird dreams when I do sleep. Recently I have begun to have leg pains that keep me up at night. I don't know if it is relate but I did not have any of this before the pellets. I want them out!!!! I would not recommend the pellets to anyone.

I'm thinkng about getting off the testerone pellet therapy after a year and a half. At first i thought my libido/sex drive was increasing but in the last few months it has declined. In addition I've had a warmer body thermostat feeling and also very sleepness at night.

Has anyone else expereinced any of this?

i am a 58 year old male.
