Do you have evidence of the third child dying? I can't find it in any online news source. I've checked , , , . LOCAL news media. No one says anything about a third one dying. Just a third one identified by name, and talks about his condition. If you have evidence, please post it here. Thank you.

There is no reports of a third child dying. Extremely poor judgment in posting that. I was raised and went to school in Oologah. I really hope that the state comes down HARD on the school officials who chose not to close the doors when they were first notified of the first child's diagnosis. It's possible that closing the school immediately wouldn't have prevented the others from being infected but who, in their right mind, would take that chance?

I called the health dept today and asked about the vaccine. They said the free shot is only for kids 11-19. And its 110.00 for anyone older or between the ages of 2-10. I have two kids in that age which I would have to come up with 220.00 just for them to get the shot and as a stay at home mom we cant afford that. I think its ridiculous they cost so much for something that could save a life. How many more children have to die before something is done. They also said the state is only allotted so much money for the "free" shots so thats why the younger age group isnt covered. I would be willing to pay 110.00 for mine as an adult but I think kids vaccines should be free even for meningitis!!! Its a shot just like the rest of them.

I would want the school here to close if something like that was going on. But you know the schools have gotten sloppy on hand washing here lately since the h1n1 hasnt been so bad.

If you are really that concerned about your children getting the vaccine, I think you could come up with $220. Just cut out the chips, soda, beer and cigarettes and I am sure that you will be able to find the money.

I find it hard to believe that someone that chose to have more than one child cannot come up with a couple hundred dollars when they need to.

Stay at home mom or not!

That was pretty rude lboydj. You do not know what situation any other is dealing with, who do you think that you are? God allowed those children to have life. You are no judge keep your comments to yourself. You must have been upset when you got on here.

The third child has not passed away. He is one of my cousins and I hope you know Joy, you scared me when I read that. The I noticed it was posted on the 11th. I agree with you Tracy......get your facts straight before you post something like that.

220 is a little ridiculous for vaccines. in extreme cases like this one they need to make exceptions however this state's broke, the country's broke we've spent trillions on a meaningless battle in the middle east and yet we can't spend a dime to get our healthcare in check.

Yet you have Pfizer making billions in profits you have the pharmaceutical industry cashing on disease like no other business. this country needs to reevaluate its priorities. the rich are not a priority.
