Hi, My name is Rosa and I would like to share my story as a Lyme Survivor.

Prior to contracting Lyme disease through a tick bite, I was a busy insurance professional that struggled with balancing career, family and spirit.

The battle with Lyme disease has been a long journey for me. It is a debilitating disease that affected me emotionally, spiritually and physically (permanent damage to my central nervous system). After visiting 15 physicians, one can only imagine the emotional strain on the family when seeking a medical diagnosis that is severely overlooked. My life is no longer taken for granted. I survived a near death experience. I believe my life was spared by a higher power to be a voice for the disease.

In sharing my memoir, it is my prayer to give a sense of hope to Lyme disease patients and their loved ones.

Rosa,

Reading your post on your battle with Lymes only made me think of my life and the struggles I have with Lymes Disease. I am so sorry for all your on going battle with Lymes. It takes over your life and the best thing I have is my husband and good understanding doctors. I to feel if I did not get treatment I was close to death. I still battle with it every day but, keep my faith that I am hear for a reason....not to down play anyone who struggles with Lymes but, only to lend support! I have had 10 surgeries in 8 years and also am losing my teeth. I am getting dental implants so it only furthers my pain. I can only hope you can find strength to help you fight your illness. All my prayers are going to you tonight ans hope you can stay pain free.

Sincerely,
Nena

Please email me at rosa@lymesurvivor.net I would like to share with you some efforts that I am working on to bring awareness to the disease on a national level and I would like to bless you with a complimentary copy of my story ... many have said it is very inspirational. Thank you for responding Nena...I will lift you up in my prayers also, I am determined to make a loud noise about Lyme disease. I believe that is why I did not die from it after seeing 15 different doctors!
