Justice Department attorney John Loftus wrote in his book The Belarus Secret that Nazi scientists in the 50s were working with diseased ticks on Plum Island. Nazi Eric Traub had been lab chief of a germ warfare lab for Hitler under Heinrich Himmler before coming to Plum Island after the war. Ticks were inoculated with pathogens and released.
