In every medical drama the scene is the same: The surgeon carefully places the delicate organ in a cooler filled with ice and snaps the lid shut.

If organs that are not yet transplanted will be kept alive for long hours then it would really be beneficial for patients. I have read some surgical innovations that are being done today like robotic-assisted surgeries. I think this would really help but after reading about the complications at http://www.davincilawsuit.us/da-vinci-surgica... , I feel that it may still need some improvements.
