Second Hand Smoke is potentially harmful then it's logical to keep the smoke away from those that don't want to inhale it, especially EMPLOYEES. Remember it's YOUR F'n habit NOT MINE keep it to yourself. I'm not blinded by anything you F'n Idiot. How dare you still think you can smoke wherever the heck you please!!! Let's try this again... You can try to dodge logic...but it will do you no good. You are so blinded by an agenda of hate...you can not comprehend the fact that your entire movement is based on complete hypocrisy...as is so easily demonstrated scientifically. Just what other forms of smoke have "no safe level"? Perhaps you might have a list you would care to share? Would you be willing to apply your sides ridiculous standard of "no safe level" to all forms of indoor smoke that contain known carcinogens...or only to those you do not like? There is nothing more annoying than a self righteous moral busybody with HUGE double standards.

Smoking Fools wrote: <quoted text> Sorry but many businesses FAIL every day, more than 50% of all businesses fail. Hundred of reasons, poor management, location, CHANGING TIMES, corruption, fraud, waste, etc. Smoking in public is a thing of the past, business owners NEED to ADAPT or go out of business. That's Life!!! Many, many bars did change and are doing just fine. Those that are stuck in the disco era probably will fail, that's business. You are full of crap about the people not coming out, come to Maryland if you want to see it first hand. It really does work and MOST are very happy with the smoking restrictions. Even the smokers have adapted quite well. No Smoking in both public and private bars and clubs and a LEVEL playing field for all businesses to follow. I do agree EVERY business that has employees should be SMOKE FREE, for health reasons. What ever makes you feel good about your causing people to lose their business, their jobs, their homes and all the kids that can now buy all the cigarettes they want from the black market. The elimination of private property rights and the constitution. Yes the economy is now hurting business also. The taxes that business have to pay are hurting them. Now because of smoking bans they have lost the a lot of their customers. No matter how good you run a business without the customers you go under. Think about all the kids you helped put out on the street. All to help the drug companies make more money. Here is another big business now for the drug companies. http://abcnews.go.com/Business/big-business-s...

Loren wrote: <quoted text> These places must be crap holes if the only reason they closed down was because of the smoking ban. Your reasoning suggests that since the smoking ban, smokers not longer go to bars, or out to eat. So liquor store sales and take out food sales must have skyrocketed. A big majority of us do not go to bars are out to eat. I do go to the Indian casino here to eat, because I can smoke and it has the best food on the river. Half is smoking and half is non smoking. Non smokers could good go to other places but choose to go where the smokers are. They have never had a complaint. By the way where I go to eat is in another state, if I choose to buy cigarettes I do so at the Indian casino. No taxes for my state.
