Will shaving head get rid of lice and eggs?

I had lice and shaved my head bald. They then packed up camp and moved down and set up new camp on my balls. I then shaved my balls, much to my surprise they packed up and moved camp to my ass. I then was frustraded and shaved my ass. In Shock, I was, they packed up camp and were all over my chest. I then said screw this and went to home depot and got me some pure 100% malathion and a spray bottle. After 3 spay downs, I got rid of thier asses

Shaving your head is not drastic if you have suffered for months and nothing works. Wear a hat or scarf for a week then get a wig. I'm so sick of people saying it's drastic and unnecessary. Some people are very susceptible and nothing works. Shaving is a better option than constantly stressing the scalp and yourself with poisons, messy, time consuming home remedies and endless cleaning. Hair grows back. Stress takes years off your life.

yes.they hide under your hair to lay eggs do if you have no hair then they cant lay eggs so they will leave.

getting hair lice has nothing to do with keeping your house clean that is so immature. kids get lice from other children because they share things like hats, brushes, scrunchies, it is very annoying but it is part of life. it doesn't mean that that person is dirty at all grow up, when it happens to you then does that mean that you are dirty.

To the person who said only skanky people get lice...you're an idiot. Lice actually prefer clean heads. I got lice from my daughter, and I was told by numerous people to not wash my hair for a week...because they hate dirty heads. I agree 100%! I just did the same thing for myself and three children. Three of us are girls! I could not take the constant treatments and isolation from others anymore.

You do not have to shave your head if you have head lice. There are a lot of products that work very well. If you are not pregnant/breastfeeding or if you have no allergies to chysanthamum, petroleum, or ragweed, the best product to use is Nix 1 % Cream Rinse. You apply it on day 1, and 7-10 days later. Also, after treatment, and after retreatment, and daily for 12 days, you want to use a nit comb. You do not want to use a conditioner at all during your lice treatment. And if you want to shampoo, it should be a silicon free shampoo such as baby shampoo. If you are pregnant/breastfeeding --> R & C shampoo is the best product, however, you should see your doctor first. If you have any of the allergies I mentioned, and are over 10 years old, PMS lindane is the best. However, do not use this product if you have epilsepy. If you can not use PMS lindane, use Resultz.
