I work as a nanny and contracted head lice at the park. I used Nix, combed, and tried all of the head lice shampoos out there. I couldnt get rid of them! I was mortified and so grossed out. They say lice have become resistant to all of pharmacy shampoos and I agree! I spent months and hundreds of dollars on these products. FINALLY! I am lice free and only after using this doctor's technique. I spent hours online attempting to find a cure. Only this worked... its called the nuvo method and go to the link below.

I have tried EVERYTHING...nitpicking, nix, rid, the new rx ulesfia, mayonaise, olive oil, licemd, you name it! i am ready to shave everyone's head, including my own and my son...and we don't even have lice! is this something a three year old would be able to sit still for? 80% of all head lice are PESTICIDE RESISTANT!

I won't beat around the bush, but I'm a biochemist and I have my own business and PRIVATE website with restricted access and my kids and wife had head lice for 2 mos until I found, and looked up 'ulesfia'. Being a chemist, it's not hard to make 5% benzyl alcohol (BA) solution like in their formula or make it 4% or 6% of substitute a like chemical for 1/10 the cost.(I accidently made a 10% solution when I didn't remember it was only 5% for ulesfia and that worked, too!)

NONE of the chemicals including the BA, or any other part of it are restricted and in fact, ANYBODY can buy 1 gallon BA for $50 and you don't need a script or I can sell you my version by the liter which cured the problem IMMEDIATELY after we'd been living this hell for mos with EVERY other 'remedy' and you only have to apply it and leave it on for TEN MINUTES!

If you want to know how safe BA is, it is also used in pharmaceuticals for INJECTION as well as IV's and eye washes and drops which I also make for my allergies.

This 'big secret' about how to really kill head lice has to end as well as the suffering I and others had to go through to solve it!

You can contact me at [email protected] if interested!

yes it works! honestly i would do the nuvo treatment on your kids. it is 100% safe and all you need is a bottle of the facial cleanser (a couple of dollars). i promise you it works! its a bit annoying when you have to blow dry because it takes twice as long as with wet hair but the hot air suffocates the lice so its worth it. trust me... do it. you will save $, time, and a lot of energy. i was gonna shave my head if it didnt work... and i def didnt want to do that but lice is AWFUL! also the good thing is you have minimal cleaning up around the house. i swear by this method bc i tried everything and was in tears over these stupid lice.

First, if you look at the hair dryer research you have to have a certain temp and certain volume and you have to divide the hair into 24 sections and it dries out the lice with the heat and volume, but it does not suffocate them, though it does also kill the nits supposedly for we tried this every day for a week and they CAME BACK!

Are you people serious about this cetaphil method which is WORSE than olive oil for five hours and then vinegar. 8 hours on the scalp vs 10 minutes a day with something having a total of 4 ingredients in it with one being Benzyl alcohol, one being WATER, and one being vegetable oil!

Or you can put this cetaphil list of toxins on your head!

Purified Water, PEG 200 Hydrogenated Glyceryl Palmate and PEG 7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, Acrylates/Steareth 20 Methacrylate Copolymer, Glycerin, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Butylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Masking Fragrance, Panthenol, PEG 60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Disodium EDTA, Methylparaben

I won't beat around the bush, but I'm a biochemist and I have my own business making organic body lotions and massage oils and a PRIVATE website with restricted access and my kids and wife had head lice for 2 mos until I found, and looked up 'ulesfia'.

Obviously, you haven't had to live through head lice hell for mos trying everything like I and other have! You also don't know that $50 a gallon BA for cosmetic use is the same as what you think should be $200-$400 a gallon. You have NOT used it as you only need about 8oz and at only 5% BA or even 10% which I've made, it's dirt cheap and who cares as it was/is the ONLY thing which worked for us and I'm selling it at COST to get the word out! If you are worried about 'patent' I put another chem in there and can sell it as a 'hair conditioner'.

People need a cheap and effective method to stop this hell and don't knock it until you've tried it!

Sorry, but it does work after MONTHS of failures and misery and if you have any chemistry background or knowledge you would make it yourself and you don't need that much. The BA makes the lice keep their breathing spiracles open and then they suffocate on the oil which is the SAME method being tried with Olive oil and the cetaphil.

I would suggest an even more natural solution, use coconut oil
Really soak your kidís hair in coconut oil and cover the head with a towel. You should leave it on for a few hours or even for the night. Afterward wash it with shampoo, you could also use coconut conditioner or coconut oil. Repeat if necessary
There is something in coconut oil that lice don't really "appreciate."
This worked like a charm for us. If you're looking for more ideas take a look at: http://www.natural-homeremedies-for-life.com/...

After using nix, licemd, vinegar, and olive oil we still had very active adult head lice. My daughter and I both used Ulesfia and it worked for us. You do have to do two applications because it doesn't kill the eggs. But nothing else kills the eggs either. (including malathion, which is much harsher)

I've been dealing with lice for a while, but the only things that really seems to help is continuously brushing and brushing and brushing with that special lice comb.

We are going on a month now and I think we are finally kicking these buggers out. I shaved my head, and my daughter got her hair cut to shoulder length.

We tried NIX (from my doc's recommendation) which didnt' work, and mayp, olive oil, vinegar, tea tree....everything. Seems easy to kill the adults, but the nits are so hard to get rid of.

The one thing we did yesterday was to pour listerine over our heads, wrap in Saran, and wait 2 hours. I would have used vinegar after (apple cider vinegar) but we were out. Like I said, I barely have hair and I combed out the nits that had already hatched, nits I wasn't able to get by combing alone. My daughter washed her hair afterward with tea tree oil and then coconut Suave and then we combed again. Got out some, but I am wondering if some came out in the washing.

I am off to get more vinegar and maybe a finer tooth comb (using a RID comb now)

After battling my way through this nightmare I can honestly say the only thing that worked was using the method from the book head "from lice trouble dead lice." Except I used rid shampoo on the days instead of olive oil (and we didn't die or get brain damage) and I haven't seen lice in years! I can't remember the specific days but I know it's 21 days of doing like every 3 days or so and obviously I couldn't comb my own hair all that well, but it took care of them. I think it works due to the days the nits hatch and their life cycles, it makes it so they can't mature enough to lay more eggs when you're on the next cycle of killing them. I know if we ever see lice again this will be first thing I do. I found that book for a couple of bucks on amazon and it will stay in my drawer until my kids are wayyyyyy older! Good luck to all.

Interesting YouTube vids though.

One night, two weeks ago I saw an adult louse running across my computer monitor.

That was just too much.

Today was the first day I have felt in 30 days (exactly) that we are winning the war.

We will use the olive oil treatments every four days for the next 3 weeks and hope we're done.

I have never worked so hard in my life. I think that only people who have gone through this ordeal knows what it's like.

I saw my doctor today and he basically told me that I've been "derailed."

Can't think of a better word.

FYI: my pharmacist told me today that Listerine was more toxic than permetherin and that Lysol spray was more toxic than the RID sprays.

Any thoughts on that???
