Nerves and stress can kill you, and managing it is easier said than done. It takes it's toll in a lot of different ways, none of them are healthy. Make time for yourself to unwind, meditate and try to stay positive. And if you are getting sick from it, see a doctor. Above all, don't fall for the stuff in Post # 1. Sounds like a scam to me.

Buy my new book "How to cut your advertising budget". It gives details on how you can use public discussion boards to get free advertising for your book or product.

I HAVE HAD IBS FOR QUITE SOMETIME NOW.
TRIED LOTS OF THINGS - "BEST THING & A MIRACLE DRUG" FOR ME IS: MIRALAX!!! CAN'T LIVE WITH OUT IT - IT'S NON-PRESCRIPTION. I TAKE IT JUST ABOUT EVERY DAY. WHEN YOU HAVE TO GO TO THE BATHROOM, YOU BETTER MAKE SURE YOU ARE NEAR ONE. I ALSO TAKE "LEVSIN - THE GENERIC BRAND ONLY 1 TIME A DAY - BEFORE I GO TO BED. I ALSO DRINK A LOT OF WATER AND WALK (ALTHOUGH NOT EVERY DAY).
I HAVE FOUND THOSE 3 THINGS WORK THE BEST - AND AVOIDING CERTAIN FOODS (GREASY, FATTY, SODAS, ETC)
GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL. I WENT TO A GASTROENTEROLOGIST (SPELLING?) WHO WAS REALLY GREAT.

i have had ibs for quite awhile now.
here's what has worked great for me:

1) miralax - nonprescription med mixed with water or any drink, take every day just about, makes me go to the bathroom easily with no cramping, but when you have to go - "you better find a bathroom fast!" some people won't have to take it as much as i do

2) i take levsin (generic brand for my stomach/bowel spasms & i only take at nite before bed.

3) drink lots of water, no sodas, limit coffee
4) walk!!!
5) avoid certain foods - as much as possible
no fatty, greasy foods (although sometimes
hard to avoid completely.

good luck!! "miralax" has been the biggest "miracle drug" in helping with my ibs.
live is much more manageable now.

I think your scarcasm went over the head of many of the people here, but I appreciated it.

My aunt has IBS so bad that she's in the hospital every 5 weeks or so. No amount of meds has helped, just eased the pain. I think there's something else going on in there, but her doctors can't find anything else wrong, and keep saying it's IBS.

Yeah. It's happened in a few threads I've posted in and it is kind of funny.

I wonder if it's her gallbladder. That can cause all sorts of problems masked as something else.

Daily Horoscope for November 26

Gemini

Your eleventh house of friends and associates is activated by the Moon in Aries and it's time to go out and play with your friends. Even the Twins, who have been somewhat reclusive lately, will benefit from socializing tonight. A sense of relief will take hold when you realize that no one really has a better life than you. Sure, it might seem like someone else has a more glamorous existence, but if you could be a fly on the wall in their bedroom, you'd find they have nightmares, too!
