hi! looking for some advice or just support...

I was diagnosed with IC, vulvodynia, pelvic floor dysfunction, vulvar lichen sclerosis and PTSD back in August of 2011...I was prescribed Elmiron, Klonopin, Notryptiline, Hydroxizine, Tramadol, and a few other creams. I also have Polycystic Ovarian Disease, hypoglycemia, raynaud's and asthma!(been on birthcontrol since I was 15, now 21)

I've had the IC combination symptoms since I was 13, and I've finally received a diagnosis...however I didn't respond well to a lot of my meds, and am now only taking the Elmiron, klonopin and tramadol in addition to my birthcontrol.

I feel like since my diagnosis and starting all of these meds, my pain has gotten worse. I still am experiencing rectal bleeding (sounds gross i know but how else can i get advice without giving my whole story?)

I was always an athletic girl and ran varsity cross country in highschool, now since my diagnosis I've dropped a good amount of weight and am in a lot of pain. I blame that on my deteriority muscle weight...I find even the simplest tasks painful and will not even dare to work out anymore :(

I used to have about 2 flareups a week, but it grew to be about 2 a day! I just had to go on medical leave from college, and I'm in my senior year.

I feel like I am losing my mind, I've lost a lot of friends and even my relationship with my own family is strained...I lost my job and my focus...I've left school...I don't know what else there is to do!

This condition is so painful and I feel crazy for having lived this way for almost ten years without a diagnosis....any advice?

I'm thinking about holistic methods since I am hating the meds...have a few doctor's appointments lined up over the next few weeks so I'm hoping to try new methods of treatment :(

Ashley, try to hang in there. I have been dealing with this at least 20 years but just really diagnosed in the last 4 years. I am currently in pain as we speak and I have had the injections into the bladder and am taking Elmiron 100mg x3 and most days I feel pretty good. This flareup seems to be one of the worst I have had.

Try to hang in there and keep working with different meds and maybe one combination will work.

Sorry to hear about your pain Ashley and I hope and pray everything's going well with you right now. With all these things happen, I know how cruel life sometimes can be, but hang in there.

I've just found out that women who are suffering from the side effects of vaginal mesh can ask help from these guys http://www.rotlaw.com/transvaginal-placement-...
