I took my 1st Rozerem tablet lastnight and slept for 12 hours!(Part of the reason may be that I had not slept well the previous 5 nights) My Dr. told me it could take a day or two before it started working or it may work right away. I fell asleep within 30 mins. After taking it. I did wake up a few times during the night but went right back to sleep.I hope I feel this good the next time Ii drive through Cartersville, Ga. I just love that little mexican resteraunt Las Palmas!!

Just had my 2nd night of SLEEP!!! b/c of Rozerem. Fell asleep in less than 20 min. after taking it. It seems to be the answer to my prayers. The only down side is I have went so long without sleeping well that Rozerem is working almost too well. I believe I could sleep for days! Anyone else feel like you could sleep & sleep??

I tried Rozerem last night and I didnt get any sleep at all...my daughter works at a drs office and can get me samples and the one I like the best is Lunesta and Ambein they work like magic...the only drawback with lunesta is it leaves a nasty taste in ur maouth like a metal taste...lol...but I would rather have that then stay awake all night....

I have tried the benzo copy cat ambien and found that it does not work well overtime also you can have problems with it quick, lunesta had its own trip going on, crappy sleep plus a hangover in the morning so I x'ed that from the list, but I found that rozerem works the best because of how it works, a great night sleep and 0% hangover and side effects thats a plus, it is true that after about 4 nights or so of using it the good sleep kicks right in, just be patient good things come to those who wait, let me mention also i have suffered from insomnia for over 29 years, rozerem is the best by far.

I recently started Rozerem, I have had insomnia for years. I tried Ambein years ago, and it did not work for me. After hearing alot of negative things about Ambein, I stopped the medication. The Rozerem has worked wonders for me. But there are a few tips....it doesn't work for everyone the first night. And you bedtime habits play a part. It is best to take it and turn off lights (no tv etc...). It may take some time for this to work....also remember it may not work for everyone, everyone's body is different on how it absorbs (what it takes out of a medicine & how it uses it) the medication. I am in the medical field. So, I like to research any meds I take. And as far as for it's new, and any long term effects it has. I am always concerned with this also. But there comes a point where we have to say....enough is enough. Cell phones cause cancer, everything causes cancer. Which cancer is a horrible disease. Please do not take that work. But, my theroy is if you can get some relief from any medical condition you may have, and live a happy life. Is that worth the small % of possible side effects or long term effects. Just my thoughts. Hope this helps some.

I take ambiant a couple of times a week and it helps me alot. I am grogy in the morning, but I don't know if that is from the remron( for depression). I took rozerem and had wild and crazy dreams. They were scary and I couldn't wait for morning to come. I vowed that night to never take them again. Has anyone else had a bad trip from rozerem? It was very unsettling!

I tried rozerem one time. I scared the hell out of me. I had such crazy and scary dreams. It was what I would imagin a "bad trip" being. I went to ambiant and that still works for me, once or twice a week is my usage. Has anyone had the bat trip experience from roserem?

I was just given samples of Rozerem. My initial difficulty was falling asleep. The doctor told me to give it 3 days to work effectively. To tell you the truth, I think the generic Ambien hits me harder than the name brand. I fall asleep faster with the generic. My friend also takes it and he tried the generic form, he agrees with me. My wife nores so bad, I cannot sleep. I even use earplugs with ambien some times. :-)

For the past couple of months I have been waking up several times during the night and eating (sometimes without even knowing it!) and not only did it start to interfere with my sleeping habits, but it was kind of scary when I'd wake up to a mess in the kitchen that looked like a pack of second graders would leave behind. I'd wake up in the morning with a sour stomach from eating so much and so many weird things. I talked to my doctor about it and he started me on Rozerem two days ago. The first night, I woke up several times but felt like my mind was wide awake and my eyes were closed, even though they weren't. It was weird. Very vivid dreaming when I actually did sleep. Last night was my second night, and I still woke up about an hour or two after taking it. I didn't know that it could take a few days to really work, but I could definately tell a difference last night as opposed to the first night. It's almost a euphoric feeling as you "fall asleep" and I agree that the dreams are very, very vivid. Mine aren't "scary" or "bad", just sometimes a little weird and very intense and detailed (ie, feelings, emotions, colors, etc.). I think I'll keep trying it for another week or so and see if it will help me sleep through the night. The sample my doctor gave me came with earplugs and an eye mask, and those two things REALLY help, even though it seems a little silly.

Yes, I have had the same experience. I believe it is the melatonin effect it has. I have the same reaction to melatonin; I wake up after a few hours and cannot get back to sleep and have horrible nightmares. Apparently this is rare, but it does happen to 2 out of 10 people, i think.

I'm currently taking meletonin tablets as i was taking Lunesta but found it made me angry the next day plus some other minor side effects.
Meletonin is usful so far and i'm taking about 7-10mg a night but i am wondering if i could take meletonin in combination with rozerem and also what dose of each would work best if i should take them in combination at all.
To have access to a bit more of the neuro research data would be usful that is if there is enough of it in exsistance to ducduce the answer to my inquest as i have have recently been acuiring the ability to understand such infomation.

As a kid i was put in Trazodone and that helped me sleep but i felt tired when i would need to get up. So i was put on Zanex. That helped me sleep but i would wake in the middle of the night and eat n eat. I found out I was going to have a baby and slowly took started to get off all sleeping pills. Now that my daughter is 13 months old im back to not sleeping well at night at all. My DR put me on Ambin CR that helped me sleep but again i wake up wanting to eat and found that i needed to take more and more to sleep all night and i felt tired the next day. I was then put on Lunesta. I was only on that for 4 days. I was up every 3 hours and had the WORST taste in my mouth!! So last night i took Rozerem for the first time.. It took me 4 hours to fall asleep.. i ended up taking 2 Benadryl and then i got some sleep. I have been taking up around 6 Benadryl at night not just for sleep but other resons. I have been in the worst mood all day and found that when i was on the Lunesta i was in a really nasty mood and its not be to act that way. Im lost with what to do. I guess with the Benadryl i would wake up not feeling mad or so tired i cant get my daughter ready for the day. Hope this is helpful to someone. and yes i think Rozerem was a waste of money. Now what do i do with the 29 pills left? flush them down the drain.

A generic version of Ambien is now available in the U.S.: zolpidem. It should cost way less than Ambien.

I've been taking soma (carisoprodol) which is prescribed for muscle pain but is great for insomnia. Another good drug is hydroxyzine (50 mg). I use one or the other whenever I take long trips overseas.

It's 3:00 in the morning and I am wide awake.
Rozerem isn't working for me. Is it because of the anti-depressant I also take? Ambien is good but I don't want to over use it. Luckily I don't have to go to work tomorrow...

Has your wife been checked for sleep apnea? The Cpcp (for apnea) machine will probably keep you awake also, though.
