I find myself to be extremely frustrated and I am looking for some clarification. I have endemetrosis, in December of 06 I had the laproscopic surgery done to help take care of the problem. Now I am trying to get pregnant. My doctor and I discussed that since I dont ovulate but every 60-80 days that I would need some help to try and get the timing right. I started taking Provera in January to induce a period. I begin my cycle on Jan 28th then started Clomid on the 3rd day of that cycle. Because of the uncertanity of when I ovulate my dr. also wanted to do the HCG injection. We had to do a series of ultrasounds before the injection was finally given to me because there was a follicle measuring at least 20. My impression was that after the injection was given to me that it was a definite that I would ovulate within 35-46 hours later. Then I was scheduled to do a blood test to check my progestorone level. My understanding with this was to see if I ovulated. I called the dr's office today to get the results and she informed me that the test said I didn't ovulate. I am confused. Doesnt the HCG shot make me ovulate and if so then how can that blood test say that I havent. I received the HCG injection on a Thursday and by that Sunday and Monday I really had some discharge which is normally a sign for me that I ovulated. I feel sure that I did but I guess I just need some clarification of the HCG injection and if it definitely makes you ovulate or if there still could be other factors that will need to be addressed to make that work.
