Hi I was diagnosed with hashimotes when I was 17. I didn't get treatment till I was 25. It has been 10 months of treatment. I just got my lad results and my tsh was at 11.45. My doctor put me on levo 75 mcg. What I want to know is how long does it take to even out everything. Everything hurts, I'm losing my hair, and have no drive to do anything! I have gotten several books for hypothyroidism but their not very helpful. I have had two miscarriage before i started treatment. I feel like I'm going round the bend! Can someone offer advice on anything!

Terri, it could take a couple of months before you feel any improvement. Your body needs time to adjust to it. When I first started to take my pills I actually felt worse for a short time. Thanks to what I had read on various forums I expected this to happen. Just hang in there, there is a light at the end of tunnel. You didn't get this way over night and you're not going to start feeling better over night. Good luck.
