Teva launches generic Avalide and Avapro Tablets

Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. announced today that it has commenced commercial launch of both Irbesartan and Irbesartan-Hydrochlorothiazide Tablets, the Company's generic versions of Sanofi Aventis' high blood pressure treatments, Avapro A and AvalideA Tablets.

I've been taking avapro for 4 months with no side effects. On tuesday, I took my first TEVA generic of Avapro and I itched some. On wednesday, I took my second pill. 4 hours later, I had a rash from head to toe. I took benadryl which relieved the itch and the rash went away until a few hours later when my lips started to swell and the all over itch returned. I took more benadryl and felt better. I will not take this again!
