I don't know...there are so many strands of the HIV virus. Some researchers say there's not just one cure.

Its going to happen sooner or later (a cure). In some way HIV has been cured already with the new meds that are far less toxic and works great to keep the virus driven to <48 copies. If you are compliant your virus should never mutate unlike what most believe.

You're right, there are more than one strand of the virus. However...in the article they mention that this method would work even when the virus mutates. It's the mutations which create different strains of the root virus, so to speak.
Creating something to attack all the strains appears to be what they have accomplished, that is what I call the 'cure factor'.
And, like Lexie and others, about the price, well, I believe the treatment should be free. Because, wasn't most research done under grants to combat the virus?
Hey, supply it to whoever needs it, and ask for donations.
Hey, EVERYONE, they can find the cure, but that won't mean the end of it. Because, how can everyone with the virus, some don't know, so how can the virus be eliminated even with the best 'cure'?
Comments on how this could be done? Uh, small pox was eliminated, but how? Could that be done on a world wide manner?

We hear that for so many times that is hard to believe in news like this. They look all the same for 20 years! For 20 years they are saying that cientists have found the week point of hiv, that will find a cure soon, that the discover x will do that and this... 20 years of false hopes and delusions. Where are the cures that monstruous amounts of money cant find? I tell you where they are, in the closet very well locked!

I pray you are able to come out with cure in less than 6 months. I hope all the governments in the world pool in their resources which is made available for all forms of medical research and early cures instead of spending money on research of arms and destruction.
