I had total right hip replacement 6 weeks ago today and am walking with a cane and trying to wean away from it, but when I walk without anything around the house, my incision area hurts and I start limping. Is this common and should I be walking all the time without anything by now.

How are you keeping up with your doctors advises? hope you are following all your doctors instructions especially your pain reliever and antibiotics which are the most important medication after surgery. Post Surgery care is the most important part.It is best that you have to consult your doctor. See also http://www.depuypinnaclelawsuit.com/recall

Pain is a common complication associated with risks involving all joint replacement surgery. It's important to follow all your doctor's advice regarding post-surgical management and care which is supposed to manage this. However If something seems out of the ordinary you should consult your surgeon.
