I had my right hip done May of 05. Last year I started hearing a loud popping in my right hip. It is getting worse and people walking with me can hear it as well. I have a Wright ceramic hip. Anyone have the popping sound as well?

I had total hip replacement April 05. I am having the exact problem you are talking about. I also have a Wright ceramic hip. I saw a orthopedic and he said a revision of the hip may be necessary.

Hi! I suggest that you see your health care provider for this. It may warrant that something is not right with your hip. It would be best to have your doctor check on it and advise you on what action to take. Complications after a hip surgery are possible, as what I have read in http://www.hiprecalllaw.com . I hope yours is not something serous. Get well soon.

Does anyone have a "click" in the replaced hip when they get up from sitting down ? A recent x ray showed the new hip joint to be in perfect position.

It is best that you have this checked with a doctor because of the pop sound. http://www.depuypinnaclelawsuit.com/recall

You should immediately consult a medical professional because your hip replacement device may be defective. Know that several cases have been sprouting regarding these defective products such as the DePuy hip replacement of Johnson and Johnson. Also, know that hip pain can have many causes. The hip joint is a complex joint with a number of supporting tendons, ligaments and muscles. A weakness in any of the supporting structures can cause pain. See http://www.depuyhipreplacementlawsuit.com/hip... .

There were also some people who had problems with the hip replacement they had before. Oftentimes, pain would double after the replacement fails. Just visit this site http://www.rotlaw.com/depuy-asr/ to know more about it.

I am 38 and had 3 hip surgeries last year. The final was a THR (ceramic ball, plastic socket) and I am almost one year post op. I still can not stand or walk for more than 2 hours at a time, usually less. I hear popping in the hip, and have swelling in my leg and mottled skin. My doctor has x-rayed and keeps telling me it looks perfect. But I really feel something is wrong. I try to exercise, and be active and it just will not let me. Oh and my hip was also dislocated while they moved me off of the table after the surgery-posterior. I often wonder if that damaged it? Not sure what to do, but I am so tired of pain!!

I am sorry to hear about this loud popping with the hip replacement, I know its kinda annoying. However, it is best that you have this checked with your doctor before it becomes worst, to see related cases, log on to www.depuyhiprecallcenter.com

Had total hip replacement 18 months ago, still having problems now, with clicking/clonking when relaxed and take weight off it feels as though it is coming out of the joint, when sitting down i have to hold my groin when I sneeze or cough because of the sharp pain in groin area, when working and moving around i end up having to sit down to relax to ease the pain, as far as I know i think i have the Delta ceramic on ceramic, waiting now for keyhole surgery and dye test to see if they can find the problem, really concerned as i'm only 43, hip replaced due to accident. Has anyone else suffering from these problems??

I had thr (r) corin mini hip on Jan.2,2013, recently i have been expirencing clicking sounds and sharp, shooting pain deep inside the hip joint. Had cortizone shot for trochanteric bursitis a month ago. The clicking seems to be getting worse.the pain comes when starting movement from a standing position , such as pushing off to begin walking. The pain is like a quick brief jolt, then subsides within seconds.planning to contact surgeon regarding these recent issues, wondering anyone else having same? Only 43 yro.( accident)

My ceramic hip had to be replaced after years of popping and squeaking. Here is a topic with more information about it:

I had a titanium total hip replacement on Oct. 8, 2013. I progressed well immediately following surgery for 5 or 6 weeks. However over the last 6 weeks or so, I feel the hip socket pop when I climb stairs or walk up any incline. There's no pain involved with that, BUT, I still have extreme groin pain. Also, when I try to sleep on either side, I wake with pain in my right leg from the groin area almost to the ankle. If I lie flat on my back the pain quickly goes away. Any thoughts on these issues?

See if you can get an epidural nerve block for sciatica. I had similar pain and that injection helped SO much. I don't feel that pain any more.
