Hip replacement surgery is one of the most critical operations, regardless of what country it will be performed. Just make sure that the doctors are experts on hip surgeries and the devices to be used are safe.. In relation to this, be informed that Johnson&Johnson has already implemented the ASR Hip Replacement Recall. The recalled ASR devices have been found to loosen before bones can grow around the hip implant to keep the implant in place. According to medical professionals, bones cannot develop properly due to the movement of the implant and may cause patients to experience limping, pain and trouble walking. Truly, there is a growing number of patients who opt to have a hip implant. Regarding hip replacements devices, one should know that the subsidiary company of Johnson&Johnson (DePuy Orthopaedics Inc.) has recalled two of its products. These are the ASR XL Acetabular System and the ASR Hip Resurfacing System. More information here: http://www.hiprecalllaw.com/symptoms/ .

Know that, having a hip replacement surgery can be very critical especially with reports that certain devices are defective and may cause severe health complications. For instance, ASR Hip Replacement Recall was implemented by manufacturer DePuy Orthopaedics Inc., a subsidiary company of Johnson&Johnson. The recall was done because of the various complaints of patients and doctors about it. Actually, its manufacturer is currently being charged with a number of lawsuits because of the damages the device caused. With claims for compensation piling up globally, DePuy should pay attention to these the hip replacement problems experienced by its patients. See http://www.rotlaw.com/depuy-asr/ .

India |
I live most of my time in Goa, India I am 54.
I had hip problems for thirteen years while living in my birth country (UK). I was not offered replacements on the Britsh NHS as I was deemed "too young" and instead spent over a decade on strong invasive painkillers. Two years ago I had the surgery here in Goa privately and at about a tenth of the costthan it would have been in UK. I am very happy that I had the work done here and had complete faith in my surgeon and the hospital care I recieved, and until hearing recent "poisoning" reports about metal on metal implants considered I was sorted for life. My implants are Zimmer with Duron cups and as yet I am still waiting for a reply from my surgeon about their safety. |

I think it doesn’t matter what country you’d like to it to be performed. What matters most is that the surgeons and the hospital offer reliable services. I think the first thing you’d do is to check the surgeon’s background, as well as the hospital. You may also need to know that hip replacements are known to have adverse complications on its patients. It is important that you discuss this matter to your doctor.
