Well it was about three this morning when I noticed a hemorrhoid. At first thought it was a zit or an ingrown hair then later realized that zits and ingrown hairs don't burn and ich. This is my first one as of now me being 23 and I researched if I should pop it or not and came to the conclusion that it's probably not a good idea so I ran some warm bath water got in and literally stuck my finger on the grape sized bump looked my pride in the face and swallowed deep as I applied pressure with an inward motion. Being a male this was extremely awkward and uncomfortable but I can vogue for one thing after about five min with pressure and my finger in my rectum the pain, burning, itching and size of the affected bump had subsided drastically the bump is much smaller an is only sensitive to the touch. Needless to say it will allow me to rest for the night and when I wake up I will check on it

Hey guys, I have no idea what I have but I'm assuming it's some kind of hemorrhoid based on what I've read on here. I felt horrible pain right at the top of my ass as if I had injured my tailbone and I originally chalked it up to me drunkenly falling at a party the night before...but now it still hurts and upon some investigation down there it's a decent sized bump right where my crack ends and my lower back begins and I'm pretty sure it's internal but idk enough about these things. Anyway, at the bottom of this bump there is a small hole and blood/puss has been randomly coming out of it whenever i wipe or inspect it and I have no clue what to do or what I'm dealing with so I'm considering popping it based on others experiences on here but not sure what I should do.....any suggestions would be much appreciated

A roid would be on your butthole, not clear up by your back my friend. I'd say it's ok to pop why you have and maybe see a doc for an antibiotic.

after going thru 3 excruciating sleepless nights, i decided to go to my TP. when the meds she prescribed didnt work. i spent the rest of the day reading this forum and decided to pop it. after unsucessfully squeezing the roid in the shower. i decided to try again 2 hours later. this time i found the most sensitive spot and pinched it and blood released everywhere!! im still bleeding 2 hours later, but the tremendous pain relief was def worth it. if there r any future complications, i'll follow up.

I have had a thrombosed hemorrhoid for a couple days now. At first it was just irritating. It didn't hurt. It just felt like something was sticking out of my butt a bit. I tried popping it with a a needle and that really hurt. Not much blood at all came out because i wasn't getting real deep because it hurt to much. Then another day went by and it was now hurting BAD. After reading a number of threads about people successfully draining their hemorrhoids I decided to try an exacto-knife right now! Brand new REAL sharp and very pointy blade. I stuck the blade in and because it was sooo sharp I could barely feel the incision and I prob went in almost a quarter inch and THERE was the blood! It drained a considerable amount and pretty instantly shrunk down and felt better. The trick is to have a new sharp pointy blade. Sterilize with a flame and use neosporin or something like that on the wound.

Follow up...after a couple hours it was indeed feeling smaller but it seemed like their was still more "stuff" in there. I looked in the mirror again and I saw a small dot on the hemorrhoid what looked like a drop of wet blood. It wouldn't wipe off though. I decided to squeeze the roid like I was trying to pop a gigantic zit and lo and behold...several huge blackish red chunks of blood clot popped out!! I was amazed..a little freaked out and relieved! The roid was pretty much gone! Still a bit sore from all the activity but I can deal with that😊

I want to thank everyone here for being brave enough to leave their comments and experiences. It gave me courage to know that I wasn't alone and that I shouldn't be embarrassed to seek out treatment.

After suffering the intense pain, that everyone has described here so well that I need not reiterate it, for two days, and after reading this forum, I decided to seek medical help.

I sucked up my pride, went to the ER, told them my issue and was taken back to a treatment room right away. Lucky for me the ER was very light. After the doctor examined me she (yeah, she) told me that indeed I was badly thrombosed and would need to have it drained. I don't mind admitting that I was a bit terrified but I knew what to expect thanks to the information shared here and that helped a lot.

I have to agree with the others experiences. The worst part of the entire process was the shots to numb the area. It hurt like hell but only took a few seconds. The good news is that it only takes a few moments for the numbing to being and you get instant relief when it does.

After a short while the doctor opened the hemorrhoid and removed three large pea sized clots. Way more than I thought and certainly more than I could have tried to pop out myself. She did this completely without any pain whatsoever. You could feel that you're being touched but there was no feeling at all (whew) and it only took a minute.

I admire anyone who popped these themselves. After taking the doctors needle there, I cannot imagine doing so myself and then having to squeeze it without the numbing agent.

Please, anyone suffering with this, do not let the embarrassment keep you from seeking help right away. Don't suffer needlessly. The Doctor told me she had done a half dozen of these this week. You are NOT alone and you do NOT need to suffer. The procedure is nothing compared to the pain you are now experiencing.

I was given a shot for pain and a couple of Percocets prior to the procedure and a prescription for a few more Percocets to take home. It's been a day and a half now and I've hardly needed the pain killers. The discomfort from the incision is nothing compared to the pain I was in.

Good luck to you.

Just recently, couple days ago, I noticed I had one, and ******* it hurt bad. I do a lot of lifting and walking and carrying and pouring in a factory getting all sweaty and whatnot. Didn't help at all. By the second day of intense pains, I was showering at work getting ready to go home and washing the area. I barely bumped it and looking down at the floor i saw a dark red chunk (part of the clot) so I'm feeling around and poke and prod and more clot comes out. It bled for a little while. Still a lump left over and from what I can feel a hole in it. Just mild pain right now.
First time this has happened to me. Googled it up and ended up here. Man this sucks.

I had internal and external roids for several years. I finally got up the guts to see a doctir about them. My doctor referred me to a surgeon who got rid of them in his office with 2 treatments. It cost me about $300 after insurance, and was a humiliating experience, but I'd do it again in a heartbeat. I wish I had done it years ago.

...A third follow up. So after I sliced open the Hemmrhoid and removed several clots it shrunk down and felt MUCH better and I thought I was in the clear. The next morning I woke and checked and it was filled right back up the same size or even bigger!! And now more painful!! So I decided I was going to go to the doctor because I felt not only in pain but emotionally I was starting to lose it. At this point I had been about a week and a half from when I first got the Hemmrhoid. I bought some genneric prep h to try anything for relief. I made an appointment to see the doc in a few days. The day of the the apt I noticed that the Hemmrhoid was now starting to shrink and was feeling better. This was now two weeks from when I first got the I decided to cancel the doc apt and see if this thing would go away on its own. And YES!!!!! At the three week mark it is gone!!! So my advice is...DON'T try draining it your self. It can become worse. Drink lots of water.. Eat foods to help yourself not have to strain AT ALL going to the bathroom. Take your time when pooing. Try not to push at all. And use a prep h type of product to help with the swelling and to lubricate it. It will go away on its own if you eliminate the activities that caused it. From start to finish with a whole lotta pain the first two weeks mine took three weeks to go away.

Well I'm 17 and believe that I have my first hemrrhoid, at first it was just a little swollen around my anus but then it got bigger and started hurting but it was managable so I put the creams on and took sitz baths but it still got bigger and right now it's really swollen and burns like all hell, the cream has stopped working and so has all the other treatments, haven't slept or been able to move in three days, goin to the doc today. The weird thing is that there's no discoloration or pimple or anything to pop sadly

That isn't a hemorrhoid Billy, it's a pilonidal cyst. You have to go see your Dr. Good luck!

I am 26 weeks pregnant and just had a thrombectomy on a beast of a thing that birthed from my butt on Saturday. I was constipated and paranoid about having an impacted bowel so I pushed like the dickens to get something out! Well, managed to finally get some #2 action but also created a monster in the process. The last few days have been agonizing, this thing was huge, like 3cm diameter. I miraculously got into a specialist today who took one peek and, since I am pregnant and inable to do the medication route of shrinking the thrombus, she got me into a surgeon right away. I was so happy and pregnantly hormonal I cried everywhere as they gave me the directions to the surgeons office. The colo-rectal surgeon took a look and explained that he would use a local anaesthetic to numb the area and excise the clot. I was in such pain I didn't even care about all these people looking at my butt. The needle for.the local anaesthetic was a teeny tiny 27 guage and I hardly felt it. The procedure was then painless, except the doc opted for a.few stitches and that was a bit uncomfortable. It was over very quickly, he took out a grape sized chunk of meat and the clots and sent me on my way with a prescription for percocet. By the time I got to my part of town the local had pretty much completely worn off and my frikkin ass was enraged! I dropped off my prescription at the drive thru and waited in the parking lot, all dizzy and seeing stars from the pain. Now I am home, laying with my butt a little elevated, I took some medicine but it still freakin hurts. I know it will be worth it in the end, but for now, holy cow this hurts. Doc did explain that I would be trading one discomfort for another, but at least this way it is less likely to come back. I just had to comment since there is no way a DIY draining would have extracted the offending chunk, and the pain is horrible, even with all the medicine. I totally do not recommend doing this yourself, either see a Dr or wait it out. I know it seems really embarrassing to have people inspecting your brown eye, but I consoled myself with the knowledge that the doctors have seen many before.

Hi All - I suffer from thrombosed hemorrhoids about every 5-7 years. The most recent was much larger, very engorged with blood clots and painful. I went to family doctor and then the rectal doctor who said to just do nothing and wait until it bleeds out and to keep a big wad of gauze handy. Unacceptable. I immediately called my old rectal doctor in Portland, Oregon and drove there that night for an appointment the next day. He drained it all out and will do his Keesey treatment on it. You hemorrhoid suffers must find this treatment - it SOLVES your hemorrhoid issues permanently. I VERY HIGHLY recommend this treatment and NOT the main-stream do nothing treatment. http://www.sandyclinic.com/ . If you have questions call his office.

Have had 2 of these blasted thrombosed rhoids. Went to doc for each. one little shot to numb, then a tiny incision to drain. A little sore afterwards but nothing like before the treatment.

I had a couple of badly swollen Hamorrhoids looking like the rear end of a male baboon. In much pain I arranged a mirror & light then went to work with a needle & sqeeezing. With some difficulty I released a large amount of clotted blood from one. The other I tried to stab but I couldn't seem to release the pressure. Much pain from the enraged one for 3 days. The successful one settled quite fast. Spent a number of hours in the bath. Back to normal now. Overall not sure if I'd do that again but I guess it was an experience.
Hi Well I think mine was thrombosed not sure, but I had an external pile which burst but the blood is still attached to the pile?? is this normal, its still bleeding, does the bloody part which is the size of a pea need to be taken off or will it go away?? the actual pile is causing no problems and I have not been in any pain but would like it to stop bleeding, been using anusol, getting slightly smaller.
