I'm not recommending this as a thing for anyone to do, but I recently "drained" (sort of) an obviously thrombosed hemorrhoid. It's external, itched like hell, and looked like it was ready to pop or something. So I carefully sterilized things, took a small needle, and pricked it, and blood started to ooze out. It hadn't been particularly painful, just itchy and enlarged. But it was black with engorged blood, so I knew it needed to be opened. I was afraid a huge amount of blood would come out but it didn't seem like a lot. Of course, I was kind of scared to do this, but I've had so many bad experiences with doctors going overboard with cutting and making things even worse than before, I did it this way. Again, I'm not telling people to do this, this is just my own experience. Anyone else done it or tempted to do it? I read the person who did the self-ligation with dental floss which was interesting. I guess if we all had more confidence in our docs, we wouldn't be doing this to ourselves at all. Thanks for the feedback!

Dont do this yourself. I've had the same thing happen twice and I was in extreme pain. The doctor gave a numbing shot (worst part) and then cut the clots out. Feels better almost instantly. However, the doc told me that if you wait the clots will disolve by themselves (week or two). Make sure to drink lots of water (to week blood from thickening)

So, I don't believe I have the guts to stick a sharp object anywhere near my anus, I'm looking at squeezing the bubble until it pops. I had one of these things before and I scheduled for an appointment with my family doctor. I don't believe it had become thombrosed yet, but it was external, hurt like all heck, and didn't have any discoloration. As he pressed his fingers against it, he had to have popped it from the pressure. It oozed blood and puss and relieved the pressure instantly. It was only raw for a day after that, but all he sad was to keep neosporin on it for a few days and that it would be sensitive. Well, it's true, if you had one you're bound to suffer from more. The dreaded bubble came back and it's reached about the same size, if not larger than before. The pressure is unbearable and I don't want to risk the embarrassment of consulting my doctor again, so I'm going to wait it out until I squeeze hard enough one day it will pop.

As for popping, I would do it over the toilet or an old towel. When my hemorrhoid popped, it was very messy and smelly.

Just don't do it by yourself, that's not a smart thing. It may work for one person but you can't be sure if it will work in your case. If you really decide to do it, be sure to apply treatments before you do. Here are some that might work - http://hemroidshemorrhoidscure.com/category/h...

I had a couple of badly swollen Hamorrhoids looking like the rear end of a male baboon. In much pain I arranged a mirror & light then went to work with a needle & sqeeezing. With some difficulty I released a large amount of clotted blood from one. The other I tried to stab but I couldn't seem to release the pressure. Much pain from the enraged one for 3 days. The successful one settled quite fast. Spent a number of hours in the bath. Back to normal now. Overall not sure if I'd do that again but I guess it was an experience.

I've read through much online information today, as I've found myself for the first time ever dealing with a hemorroid. I'm currently seven months pregnant so I'm assuming the pressure from the baby is the culprit. Lack of blood flow has actually caused me to pass out during this pregnancy. I have two children and neither of those pregnancies had these issues...

Anyway, I decided something had to be done about this little, painful annoyance today and popping it seemed to make perfect sense. I wanted to try remedy first, so I went with Tea Tree oil. A few drops on the effected area and a brief rest. It was cooling and a bit of burning occured. Then, I noticed the pain subside. I used the restroom to find that the hemorroid had started to dissolve or pop.

Very bloody, with some puss. Absolutely disgusting if you ask me. It wasn't completely gone so I decided to clean the area again and add more oil. Same result again, but now the thing is just about gone... Thank goodness! I'll never laugh when I hear a hemorroid joke again. They are no joke...

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Cancer

If you have children at home they'll be really playful today and quite a handful at times. Encourage them to burn off all their energy during the day otherwise it will be a case of tears before bedtime. There could also be a fractious atmosphere between you and a loved one, and this will quickly escalate into a row if you aren't careful.
