ok so everytime i eat something i shouldn't have, i get this disgusting horrible taste that spreads from the back of my mouth; literally 30 seconds after i've eaten it. on the contrary, some things that i eat make this taste GO AWAY !! so here is a list of things that have been working for me

Turmeric - a weird spice, i eat about a tablespoon every now and then. it tastes horrible but it works
Fish - seem to be go down ok
Green vegetables of any sorts - cabbage brocolli celery green beans sprouts any green vegetables seem to go down rather well
Meats - but try and avoid eating as much fat as possible, h pylori seems to feed on the fats
Garlic - again disgusting but better then the horrible h pylori
Green tea - doesn't seem to do that much but i think it does *something*
organic Yoghurt - always seems to go down well. one of the few sugary things i can handle
Mushrooms - no problems

foods to avoid seem to be sugary and fatty foods especially; this includes..........
butter, eggs, fruit, chocolate, cheese, crisps
pretty much anything delicious

how about you? what's on your list???? perhaps we can all help each other understand what foods go down well and what foods just dont :)

I have had HP for nearly 10 years now, and anything acidic or rich in flavour never settles.
Foods i avoid are:
- Tomato
- Potato
- Capsicum
- Eggplant
- Garlic
- Onion
- Dairy, aything too creamy or rich will leave my stomach unsettled
- high in carbohydrate foods
haveing HP makes it a lot harder to digest our foods, so anything complex or fatty, will sit in your digestive system a lot longer, it takes me over 13 hours to digest a bowl of pasta with red sauce, simply due to the acidity of the tomato.
Good Luck!

Hello Olivia, these are the foods that I'm avoiding and it is going well for me.
fatty foods
Animal products
refined sugar and carbohidrates ( bread, pasta, cake, etc)
coffee
Soy Milk

These are the things that I eat:

Salad w/ grilled portabello mushroom, no dressing
I have apple with peanut butter.
I eat fruits
steamed vegetables with sautee onion or garlic.
Since I'm from the island, I have a lot of root vegetables, like Yucca.
I juice cabbage, red potatoe, celery, ginger root, and apple. I have that at least twice a day. This juice promise to heal your ulcer cause by that HP.

I hope this is helpful to you.
