I am 38 and was diagnosed with HP in last October. The H Pylori was also causing me to have major sinus infections in addition to stomach pain and all over malaise. I took the double anti-biotic pack w/ Prevacid and felt much better for two months but then out of nowhere (this past Christmas) it came back stronger than ever. So then I tried the double anti-biotic pack w/ Prevacid again....made me very weak and sick. For the past 3 weeks I have been eating broccoli, "Broccosprouts", and drinking 1 tablespoon of dark rich raw virgin olive oil everynight before bed. I just want to let y'all know that I feel much much better. I was feeling so absolutely bad that I was having to take one Loratab a day just to feel good enough to function as a Mom and do housework, etc. Now I am down to taking the Loratab to about once every two days. That terrible bacteria was literally taking over my body and now...I feel on top of the situation.

My email address is [email protected] if you have any questions or just want to talk about HP.

Sincerely, Amy

Confirm the H. pylori presence by using Multiplex PCR Assay (tiwari et al) then go for treatment

Helicobacter pylori has been proven to be responsible for causing various gastrointestinal disorders including gastric adenocarcinoma. Several genes of pathogen (the genes of the cag-PAI, vacA, iceA, and babA) either in combination or independently have been reported to significantly increase the risk of ulceration/gastric carcinoma, with the cagA gene having the strongest predictive value. Pursuit to identify new genes which could serve as a marker of overt disease progression, lead to the discovery of hrgA gene.

I am 33 years old and I agree with Mr.Amy, because I have suffered from the same disease, when I took Medical treatment believe I couldn't able go out side and did not feel well by physically or mentally I was become more sick. At last my uncle has given me a tip to drink a spoon of olive oil daily and It's worked like a boom for me. Since then I didn't went to see a doctor with same complaint. Hope it will help for others also.

I don't know about all this, I have been positive for H. Pylori for years and am currently on my 4th treatment which is a quadruple therapy for 14 days..........i am one of the unfortunate few that have not responded to the antibiotics.
If it were as simple as "olive oil", would peple still be suffering with this?

Um, yes, they would! I've been suffering with it for a year and have had all sorts of symptoms that didn't add up. A week after starting the following treatments (feel free to find the links on my blog to medical journal documentation - www dot amyking dot org), I am feeling MUCH much better. Mind you, you cannot eat as usual. No sugar, except from the Manuka honey. Easily digestible foods at all times. Chicken stock and veggies is a standard --

Did you find a treatment? I too just finished a fourth antibiotic treatment and still have symptoms? If cured, what did you do?

Of course there are natural remedies that will work. The only reason they are not investigated is because big Pharma cannot make any money from them!

It is only at grass-roots level - you or I - where these things are being used with good results.

Why would we (or the Health System) want to pay for drugs that may or may not work when something we can buy in the grocery store will work just as well, or even better!

The more that people latch on to these things and spread the word, the better for everyone.

Foods can harm, and foods can heal. Eating a lot of sugar, chemicals and processed carbs will set the scene for Cancer, Diabetes, Arthritis, Chronic Fatigue, MS, you name it. Cultures that eat our high-carb, high-sugar, highly processed diet get our diseases. Those that still eat a pure, natural unprocessed diet with no refined sugar, are largely free of our Western diseases.

Saturated fats are villified, but they are good for us - stable at high temperatures, they do not turn into trans-fats like veg oils can. Most people also do not get enough pure water or REAL salt - the unrefined sea or rock salt that contains all the minerals and trace elements. They are fobbed off with the sodium-chloride-and-nothing-el se leftovers from the refining industry without realising that the body needs those other elements to be able to use the sodium chloride properly.

Wheat has the wheatgerm removed to stop the bread and other products going off quickly, but in doing so they have thrown away all the nutrition - all the elements that would enable us to digest the bread properly. No wonder the incidence of gluten intolerance is growing by the minute!

We need to educate ourselves and stop listening to the 'Establishment's' advice. The fact that obesity and diabetes et al are rapidly increasing are testiment to the fact that their advice isn't actually working!

We have dumped the foods that our ancestors lived perfectly healthily on for centuries, the fresh, pure, natural unprocessed foods, for modern processed rubbish that is killing us slowly - and in many cases, very painfully.

For more information see books by Michael Pollan, Gary Taubes, Barry Groves, Richard Mackarness, Mary Enig, etc., and check out sites like the Weston Price Foundation and Healing by Bee.

This was post in 2007 how are you doing now? Four years later hope you have good news. I am starting the olive oil.

H.pylori CAN BE CURED through natural means.
I have read this ebook whose author developed a three pronged strategy to beat H.pylori. He succeeded in eradicating his h.pylori infection through the all-natural HIGHLY EFFECTIVE three-pronged strategy. the book mentions all the stuff you should eat and the stuff you need to avoid during the infection.and the supplements you need to take-- which also incudes Manuka honey, and certain type of probiotics. this book will really help you put h.pylori behind you.Good luck!

I did a post back 2011, I am clear of the h-pylori, the antibiotic followed by olive oil, oil of oregano, eliminating almost all meat from my diet, exercise, organic apple cider vinegar, and eating as raw as possible, has helped me completely.

It is a long process and hard work to get you body and mind back to the way we are naturally suppose to eat, but it does work. Be patient with this illness but be persistent on ridding yourself of this bacteria and healing your body and getting well again. God Bless...

I am a 49 year old female and I've had gastritis due to h pylori, for 19 years now. The last couple of years I have tried antibiotics which didn't help. I was taking an herbal supplement (pyloricin and probiotics) which really helped, however probiotics can be expensive. About 3 weeks ago I read on the internet that extra virgin olive oil, helps to treat h. pylori, so I tried it, and I haven't had a problem since. I no longer take my herbal supplements or my probiotics. I cant believe it was that simple as extra virgin olive oil. Besides treating the h. pylori my skin is softer now. I cant even tell you how happy I am now that my stomach problems are gone !!!
