I tested positive for h. pylori about 5 months ago - took mastic gum for two months along with aloe vera, probiotics, and some l-glutamine and thought I was clear but now I still have symptoms like stomach gurgling and chest pain, which is worrisome. I seriously doubt I have heart problems because I'm skinny, young and had blood work done this year which doesn't suggest any problems. I get these week-long episodes of chest tightness located right in the heart area. It affects my breathing and makes me feel weak like I just can't do anything. Then it goes away for a week or two only to randomly return. It's frustrating.
Do you reckon this is h. pylori manifesting itself? Why would a stomach bacteria affect the heart?

Since I have the lowest level insurance plan, I can't afford the visits just to have my doctor prescribe meds. I've always been a proponent of alternatives like mastic gum in this case. Plus it's cheaper for me to buy a bunch of supplements than pay $90 for a visit! I'm thinking of trying Monolaurin next along with Manuka Honey.

Its been almost 5 months for me since i got sick i been HP free for 8 weeks now. It takes time for the body to heal after the bug i gone ...it left me gastritis and some reflux that gives me chest pain/burning and stomach pains/gurgeling/bloating...i have good days and bad days but it can only get better :).....u should see a Gi doctor and see whats going on , cause guessing and just taking supplements wont help u, if u cant adress the real issue ....i know it can be frustrating but if u have something like gastritis or reflux u should leave it untreated :) hope u get well soon ...

Pierre,

Your symptoms match to some extend - GERD or/with Hiatal Hernia. Could be Reflux from H-pylori. Some say that the hearburn is not always burning sensation, could be just pain.
Unfortunately just doing an endoscopy or Barium x-ray you can figure that out.
Most people go to ER believing that is heart problem just to find out that is a gastro problem.
Most of the time GERD/Reflux
You can try to see if taking anti-acid medication is going away, this is what they do in ER, if there is no heart problem.

I was just diagnosed with H. Pylori. I was having left upper stomach pains, chest pains and shortness of breath. It is very scary. If I take Rolaids Multi Symptom, that helps. I haven't taken treatment for it yet.

If you don't have good insurance, try eating raw minced garlic cloves (maybe 1 or 2) twice a day with your meals. You should also take some garlic supplements to increase potency (for example 1000mg or 1500mg once a day). This should help you get rid of Helicobacter Pylori. This is a natural, safe, and inexpensive way to get rid of Helicobacter Pylori. Make sure to keep the treatment for a while. Hope this helps.

i finally cleared up the h pylori after months of antibiotics and misery with mastic gum, aloe vera, and some probiotics for a couple of weeks and all my symptoms dissapeared within the first week i belieive that the mastic gum is what did the trick, its a little expensive but worth it. Good luck to everyone.

Connie so glad you got free from Hpylori. I just got my test results back and I am free also. I couldnt take the antibiotics. I thought I was going to die taking them. After six days i quit. My stomach was in terrible shape. I saw the photos from the endoscopy and was close to bleeding ulcers. The Dr. said it was erosion. I couldnt hardly stand to eat cause afterwards bloating, discomfort and burning. I was not able to take aloe vera cause it would make my stomach burn. The whole time I was on protonix along with nautural things I did. The first four weeks I used a teaspoon of Manuka honey TID and GaStro health from the Health food store. The Gastro Health says on the bottle it will help with H pylori and it has as the main ingredient Licorice Root extract. I took two caps TID. After four weeks my stomach was in good enough shape to add Oil of Oregano that kills bacteria. I took it three drops TID. I orderd the Oregano oil from Amazon from a fellow in Greece. It is the theraputic grade with no olive oil dilution. I was reccomended this product by a consultant. It took a steady taking this and probably cost around 20 dollars per week but I stayed with it and I feel great again. I am still taking the Oil of Oregano once a day now.
Hope everyone who has Has H pylori gets better. It is awful stuff

Daily Horoscope for May 24

Aquarius

In complete contrast to yesterday, you have your head screwed on firmly today. Yet you won't be boringly sensible or drearily practical, so there's no danger of you having turned into a dry old stick overnight. It's a good day for keeping track of important details and processes, such as confirming a forthcoming appointment or filling in a form and then making a copy of it before sending it off.
