Hi pylori friends!
I was diagnosed with H pylori over a year ago, I did the triple antibiotic/prilosec treatment but got sick again after six weeks. I tried mastic gum too, didn't work... Now on antacids and a restrictive diet... wondering what to do next. My question is, has anyone tried this zinc-carnosine complex called "Zinlori 75?" |

I have just come down with H-Pylori.I had it 4 years ago. At that time I took 2 products from Metagenics. The 1st product is Zinlori 75 & the 2nd is Glutagenics. They are both expensive but they work. The key is what you eat. You MUST keep your diet at least 80% alkaline & take these products several times a day-If you can stand to be on green drinks 6-7 weeks & no sugar or fried foods & so on you can get rid of it. Once you start eating more of the acidic foods for a length of time this sets up your GI for the H-pylori bacteria.Unfortunately this is what happened to me.You can take green veggies & put them in a blender with some water & drink them 3-4 times a day if you have to, but this is about the only way to get rid of it for good.
I hope this helps whomever is battling this horrible bacteria. |

To Gman-
Sorry I just need some reassurance about this... So these products from Metagenics really worked for you? Even after you started eating normally again? How long ago did you do this treatment? Sometimes my symptoms just disappear even for as long as three or four weeks, only to return as bad as ever. Did you do a follow up test of some kind to make sure the H pylori are really gone? I just want to be sure before I invest money into the medicines... I've already spent over 3000 dollars in doctors, tests, and different cures! None of them really working. |

i had h. pylori 1 year ago it was horrible i was treated with a triple therapy treatment i was taking 10 pill's everyday 5 in the morning 5 in the night pill 1.zantac pill 2. prevacid lansoprazole pill 3. Biaxin 4. Amoxicillin 5.Amoxicillin i took five in the morning (no particular order) and the same five at night plus a srtict diet one day i had breadstick's from dominoes and i felt whorible i strongly urge people with h. pylori to eat only homemade food non-greasy i ate only spinach lettuce chicken noodl's (with no chicken or flavor) and apple's thing's that you should NOT EAT IF YOU EANT TO FEEL GOOD ARE Fast food's (any type even if they say their healthy if you eat it you will feel horrible) greasy food (I Recomend Use PAM so food wont stick it can be bought at common store's like albertsons) Chicken (chicken might not be raw if yoiu are going to eat chicken make sure you cook so you know it's good) A Lot of food at the same time. Any junk food snack's example Cheetos (Cheesy or hot their both bad for you) cheese it's chocolate pringle's (every flavor is bad for you) lay's (same thing as pringles)Doritoes (every flavor's bad for you) etc. I Know This Is Hard I love Bad Foods But I Didnt Want to feel bad so i had to do it be strong i know h. pylori is a horrible disease it mayd me feel like i was going to die but wounce it is gone it's chances of coming back are very low. If your reading this and dont know if you have h. pylori here are some common sympton's Abdomal pain nausau (commonly mild but in my case it was very high) blood in your stool's (stool's means your poop) vomiting vomiting blood (if your vomiting blood go to the doctors right away) losing your appetite feeling very hungry after you ate diareah i hope this helped and i know h. pylori feels whorrible goodbye

This sucks, I guess I am not alone in my pain I have been dealing with H.pylori for 4 years and didn't know it.I just now actually found out what I had and I am excited to start my 2 week antibiotic atempt to cure it. I had no idea what was wrong all this time but I did figure out on my own fresh fruits,Fish, nuts, oatmeal and cabage all made me feel better. Usally only when I would eat fast food or unhealthy snack I would have a serious attack ( stomach cramps, bloating, burning in my stomach, pins and needles on my sides, irregular bowl movements) Looking foward to see how this treat ment works.
I can pretty much guess were I picked this H.pylori up at an durge all gulf war veterans to get check out. THe locals in th emiddle east do not use toilet paper, they use only there hands to clean them selfs. So you can image how unsanitary that is. |

Ive gained alot of weight, cant eat what I like and am sick of suffering...I know Im not alone, but I just wanted to vent. Let you know what the genious doctors come up with next. |

My aunt reported that she cured her gastritis with a glass
of carrot juice just two or three times a week, so that might be worth trying out. |

I have had three doses (14 days each)of prevpac and feel some what better now but have also been taking pine nut oil. I really do not feel confident at this point
|
||||

My son has H. pylori twice now and the prepac didn't seem to help. We have tried L-Glutamine and his pain has subsided the past few months. My new dr. suggested Zinlori 75. For a child, what does anyone think?

I was just diagnosed with H Pilori after 10 years of symptoms. My doctor put me on the Prevpac. I am on day eight of my treatment and still feel terrible. My symptoms are nausea, dizzy, weak, pain that migrates from the left to right side of my ribcage. Also my stomach will feel sore & inflamed. Stress seems to make the symptoms worse. I am scared that I am not going to get better as I have a two and five year old to raise but at this point am too sick to take them to the park, ect. Sometimes I think the medication is making me sicker. Strangely, I tend to feel better towards the evening. I am tired all day, then wide awake at night.
Does anyone else have these symptoms? |

My daughter was diagnosed with H.Pylori. Her Naturopathic Dr. put her on the following which cured the H. Pylori with NO antibiotics.(Tests are now clear) To cure: Zinlore 75 (Metagenics) 3x per day (It can take from 2-4 months so be patient) Also Active Manuka Honey 16+(1Tblsp/day) or Pylori-plex 2 caps, 2x day Then to heal gut: Glutagenics (Metagenics) 2 tsp/2x day To replenish GI: HMF Replete, 1/2 packet 2x day (can mix this with the glutagenics in a shake. For abdominal pain relief: Rhizinate (DGL) 2 tabs as needed before meals Also apply castrol oil on abdomen. Then place saran wrap over oil, leave hot water bottle in place (place towel if neeeded) for 30-45 min. Use prilosec as LAST resort but do not take for more than 1 week. Try to stay off gluten and refined sugar Good Luck! |

Hi,
I was finally diagnosed with H.Pylori in March 2007.After 3 seperate courses of antibiotics the Helicobacter was still there.I have had the usual omeprezole , lansoprezole , blah , blah to cure it and nothing made my symptoms any better.Symptoms would ease for a few days / weeks then return and so it continued. I got really stressed which didn't help as allsorts of things cross your mind. When I had finished my last perscription I decided to try chinese medicine.I described all my symptoms and they made me up 3 months worth of herbal pills. When I returned to the hospital for the 2nd breathtest I was shocked when they told me that the Helicobacter had gone. That was in Aug just gone.As I still had some of the symptoms though as that remains with you for a good while , the doc perscribed me with Nexium Esomeprezole , so I have been taking these since. The noisy uncomfortable stomach and the pains went , BUT I feel I have had some side effects from it which I am currently looking into - Pins and Needles in hands , feet , legs , itching , wind etc so I have just stopped taking them yesterday. I always have Manuka Honey in a morning now as its highly antibacterial and a diet with lots of fruit and veg. I will never know for def if it was the Chinese Medicine that eradicated it , but my bet would be to say yes. Pls can anyone let me know if they have had any side effects from Nexium. |

I have just been diagnosed with H. pylori bacteria infection. My symptoms were fairly mild and only lasted a couple of days. I still went to the doctor and got tested. He prescribed the antibiotics treatment to take for two weeks and a antacid for 3 months. Since I presently do not have any symptoms and feel fine, would anyone recommend that i try the natural remedies first before taking any anti-biotics. I am concerned about the side effects of anti-biotics and developing a resistence to them.

I recently turned 30 and for about a year I have been getting heartburn more and more (which I rarely suffered from in the past). I noticed I moved from the occasional TUMS, then to PepcidAC. Though the PepcidAC works well to immediately relieve symptoms, I know it does no more than mask the problem. My symptoms progressed in the following fashion: never got heartburn, occasionally got heartburn, got heartburn once a month (starting a year ago), heartburn once a week (6 months ago), heartburn multiple times a week (3 months ago), heartburn so frequent I resolved to try PRILOSEC (6 weeks ago). Along with this I have noticed my stomach has stretched, I have gained weight (not drastically though and all in my stomach), feel bloated and full long after big meals.
The PRILOSEC helps alleviate symptoms in about the 95% range, but only while actively taking it - within 3 days of taking a 14 day dose symptoms are at peak acuteness. 2 years ago I returned to school for an undergrad degree, and my health and lifestyle has declined due to this - I eat worse and exercise less; however, I have just finished school and am eager to get back to a healthier lifestyle (physically, mentally, and especially scheduling wise - the constant changing of schedules every 3 months has really been a challenge for me). |

Please excuse the lengthy introduction, but I believe this history was necessary. I have spent this morning reading every post on the topic titled "H Pylori" and have found it very helpful, though also disheartening. I have not seen a single post that has had an ultimately positive review of the following - these remedies seemingly DO NOT WORK:
1. ANTIBIOTICS - seem to be a more expensive and longer lasting version of PRILOSEC. The best review I've read was someone took a dose and was alleviated from symptoms for 2 or 3 years before going on another dose. However, most people have seen return of symptoms within weeks of finishing treatment, have experienced immense discomfort while taking them, and taking too many antibiotics in general seems to be a major source of problems. 2. MATULA TEA - At best, this seems only to be effective against H. Pylori. Unfortunately, the best info I have learned from this web site is that H. Pylori usually is not working alone; its diagnosis is at least a little flawed; no one seems to be sure if H. Pylori is a cause or an effect; and, though it seems to be universally agreed that eradication of H. Pylori is good, symptoms may still persist if it is eradicated. 3. MASTIC GUM, PINE NUTS, OILS, etc.- Along with Matula Tea, the only positives reviews, at least on this forum, are from people currently taking these cures. Anything that works predicated solely on an active regiment is not a cure to the cause but an alleviation of the symptoms. For instance, when I am on PRILOSEC I do not suffer from heartburn, but I can't imagine that taking PRILOSEC everyday is good form my health or my wallet. Albeit, natural remedies that are cheap may be feasible to take on a daily basis due to low likelihood of long term side effects, but they are not a cure and it may subject an individual to a long process of trial and error before finding anything near to an effective mixture of practical action. In my personal opinion, the posts of "Milia Gucci" on pages 3 and 4 of this forum seem to be a sensible start to homeopathic treatment with a focused goal in mind (increasing good stomach acid) instead of just taking random things with no goal other than hope in mind. Of course, a healthy diet with exercise is also crucial, something I have been guilty of not doing. Unfortunately, exercise seriously exacerbates by heartburn (running and sit ups especially), which is something I'm just going to have to work through. I have no medical authority and I realize this has been a lengthy post, but I felt it best to summarize what I have thus far read on this post. Like the rest of you, I am desperate to end this suffering. I IMPLORE anyone who may be on this forum to follow up with any remedies that work for more than 30 days upon completion of a cycle. PLEASE, IF YOU GET CURED DON'T FORGET ABOUT US. THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF THIS LONG ASS MESSAGE: 1. Does anyone have any info about Zinc-carnosine (or L-carnosine)? It is all over the internet as a cure for H. Pylori, and it is relatively inexpensive, but not a single mention of it is on this forum. 2. Can someone please give a detailed rundown of PROBIOTICS. It seems to be universally agreed that this at least help a little bit, and especially help to make antibiotics more tolerable. If anyone has info on types, brands, prices, effects, pros, and cons pleas post ASAP Thank you all, Al |
