I have been taking Prilosec OTC for 3 years for GERD and Barretts and now I am reading that there is a connection with possible hip fractures? That is kinda scary. What is even more scary is that when I called my Doctor he told me that it wasn't linked to fractures. I am 58 and have osteopenia in my left hip and have been having pain for about a month now. My Doctor swears that it is not related to the Prilosec OTC. Well, I have taken myself off of the Prilosec. Now I will contact my regular
Physician and see what she says. I have learned the hard way that you have to be your own advocate, because Doctors don't know everything even though they think that they do and you pay them the big bucks.

Typically best to follow physician's recommendations. Often healthier lifestyle modifications can help. Talk to your physician and see if Elevation of the bed, bricks under your bed, a pillow wedge might help. Found a Discount on the Bedge pillow wedge use discount 101 when ordering on bedge.com

I have no faith in my Dr with this issue any more. I am 31 and I broke my hip in December and they gave me the prilosec while I was in the hospital because I took it before and I have a horible time with the pain meds I had to take to get my physical therapy done.

What is worse is that I saw my family dr and my surgeon they both new I was taking this drug and still said it was harmless. No one ever told me that I had to wean myself off or the stuff either.

I really don't understand why doctors these days just want to mask symptoms instead of finding the real cause and heal the patient.

I am not saying I don't thinks doctors do great things the guy who fixed my hip did a great job.

I guess what bothers me the most is doctors don't want to listen to thier patients anymore. They just take the word of the drug company who of course benifits from this.

This news is a bit sad. Exposing patients to hip fracture while managing heartburn is no good especially that concerns involving hip replacement are increasing. Patients with hip fracture may be subjected to hip replacement. I have read about it here http://www.rotlaw.com/depuy-asr/ .

This is very interesting and informative about medicines used as treatment for heart burn can cause hip fracture which may lead to hip pains and possible hip implants. For more details visit http://www.depuypinnaclelawsuit.com/recall

Consulting a medical professional on your hip problems is the best way to address it. For those who are planning to go through a hip surgery, make sure that your doctor provides you a safe medical device. Unlike the reported products of DePuy Orthopaedics Inc. and Johnson&Johnson. After information saying that the devices fail prematurely in one out of eight clients, the ASR XL Acetabular System and the ASR Hip Resurfacing System were recalled. Legal professionals say that several clients have filed lawsuits against Johnson and Johnson. They were the ones victimized by DePuy failures and defects like displacements, fractures and loosening. Though considered late by the victims, ASR Hip Replacement Recall is a good decision made by its manufacturer. So that no more additional clients will suffer. It seems medical research always finds a way to remind you that nothing is truly safe when it comes to synthetic medication. I took some Omeprazole and Ranitidine before when I was hospitalized once. I hope people will take stock and realize these discoveries and be wiser when it comes to taking medication. http://www.fosamaxclassactionlawsuit.com/

Various medications actually induce a certain kind of health condition. While heartburn drugs may be linked to hip fractures, osteoporosis drugs like Fosamax has also been reported to cause femur fractures, and a rare jaw disease. Naturally, I am skeptical of everything online. http://inhousegeneric.com is legitimate. I placed my first order for the smallest amount possible. It arrived sooner than expected. I didn't pay the extra money for speedy air mail. I placed another order that was much larger and it came right on time. I will definitely use this company again for even larger orders now that I trust them. They also give you discounts every time you place an order which is cool. One thing to keep in mind is if you place a larger order, they will send half in one shipment, and then the other half after that to avoid customs scrutinizing your package. I am very happy, I no longer need to pay tons of money to see a doctor and therapist (and have them tell me a bunch of stuff I already know) in order to get my medication.

have been researching for months and reading reviews for each pharmacy and finally decided to take the plunge and order from one. After coming to the conclusion http://goo.gl/bLFWQG seemed the most safest and had the best feedback I ordered my pills. Was very apprehensive at first due to cc fraud, ell and they are good i would definetely recommend and purchase againspam and being generally ripped off (have not received one spam email and no cc fraud) order process and checkout was simple.
placed my order on my debit card and was charged straight away and received confirmation email immediately. choose the speedy del trackable and was advised del would be 7-9 days and order was placed on the 08/01. was just about to email them today to chase up as now 15 days but behold package had been posted through my door. packaging seems as shown on webiste. apart from small delay on advertised shipping time i have been generally please with the pharmacy.
wont be taking the pills for another few weeks yet but all going well and they are good i would definetely recommend and purchase again from them.
